I have been a food lover (so much that I almost wanted to marry it) that whenever I try to open a decent conversation with people about POLITICS, ECONOMICS, BUSINESS, THE WORLD (Tee hee).... they would still veer me this question....

Like what THE PICKIEST EATER posted recently, when I am asked that question, I am left blank. At first I thought it was alzheimers (yep! Time to get out that NOTEBOOK), but then I realized there were so many choices that I cannot just narrow it down to BLANK and BLANK.

Besides, taste is very subjective that what I may be pigging out in is something that disgusts you.

And in today's cuisine, there is just a LOT to choose from that you will love!

What is "THE CHOICE" award????

We conducted an intense first round of voting among ourselves, and our resulting finalists have made us very pleased: we feel it's a very diverse and fair representation of all our Metro Manila favorites. The categories are very broad, as they should be in a democratic vote.

However, we'd like to emphasize that this is NOT a "Best of..." list. Our good friends and respected colleagues from The MBKRS are doing an excellent job of recognizing the restaurants and restaurateurs in their prestigious bi-annual awards.

The MBKRS are rightly regarded as the Oscars of our ever growing foodie community. So we'd like "The Choice" to be the Golden Globes~ a bit more irreverent, surely less formal, and yes, it ought to be greatly biased. After all, YOU will be voting for your favorites, this is YOUR CHOICE!!!

We had a total of 2,075 respondents during the inaugural The Choice 2015 survey;

Now who are THE KTG???

The KTG is a group of friends who are not just crazy about food but they all just happened to be some of the top food and lifestyle bloggers in the Philippines!!!!

Every one of their individual blogs ranks among the highest ranking and most influential online publications dedicated to food, entertainment, and travel.

Too bad they do not have a negative number in ranking (BOO HOO) so I do not join them in THAT aspect.

BUT, I'm still the number one stalker of my fellow KTG guys though!!!!

The KTG is composed of some of the more senior food bloggers in the country that I have been stalking for some time, including Richie Zamora of "The Pickiest Eater in the World', Spanky Enriquez of "Manila Boy", Jill Bantang of "The Food Scout".

And representing the younger generation are "The Hungry Kat", "Food in the Bag", and "Nines vs. Food". And from the world of showbiz, Mr. Chuckie Dreyfus, a dedicated foodie who's also a respected tech blogger.

Of course, the KTG have more purpose in life than just eating and sleeping. While we do playfully call ourselves THE KAIN TULOG GANG, we have officially participated in relief efforts in Tacloban and Iloilo after Yolanda; and in Metro Manila.

KTG could also be called as KAPATIRAN SA TULONG AT GINHAWA because our group has a constant mission to contribute in providing joy and comfort to the less fortunate.
