THE CHINESE ADONIS' BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS (2019)

If you have met the Chinese Dimpol, you would know that he's NOT a lot of things:

-- He's not into long trips away from his family.
-- He's not into heavy drinking with friends and relatives.
-- He's not into extravagant celebrations or expensive gifts.
-- He's not panget. (Hee hee)
-- He's not into pasosy-wosy parties.
-- He's not fussy about messy rooms (hay salamat).
-- He's not very particular about gimiks.
-- He's NOT Mr. Spend-a-lot.
-- He's NOT super choosy woosy.

ALSO....
-- He's NOT for ugly, fat, and noisy ladies with big foreheads and small bewbs.

AHEM. Ha ha ha ha ha!!! Kidding.

Anyway, that's why it's no surprise how during his birthday, the Yub did not have big celebrations. We didn't plan anything because his only wish was to hear mass and have Buddy's with the family -- no drinking spree with his friends and workmates. He's so fine na daw just to have a simple celebration with our family.

(Belated) Happy Birthday pogi!

The Yub woke up to some gifts from the family!!

I gave him a yellow polo shirt which I know he'll look so pogi in!

While my Kuya Jon gave him handkerchiefs!

My Ate Jit also gave him a shirt a week after his birthday.

The Yub got some greetings too from Petron and Landers. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Yup.Water shortage sucks.

As per his wish, we went to church to hear mass.

Sayang the boys were not able to join us because they we're in school while my Mom didn't feel good.

That's okay. We'll just have a mini-renewal of vows.

NOT.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Kidding.

When we got home, we enjoyed the birthday feast that my Mom prepared for us.

My Mom doesn't normally go anywhere farther than Powerplant Mall at night but because he loved my hub, game na game siya.

When we got home, we took out Yub's "Pogi" cake.

We wanted sana to sing to him in the restaurant but he's shy kaya at home na lang. Ha ha ha ha ha!

Did you notice how all of us were wearing red (or something near that color?). It's Chinese tradition to wear red during birthdays for good luck. Even if the Yub was not pure Chinese, he'd always do that for our birthdays since he got used to it with his relatives. That's why for tonight, even if we didn't really tell my family to do so, my Mom and Kuya Jon wore that shade. I really found the gesture so sweet and respectful to Yub.

Awwww... Thank you!!! It's really the little things that count.

When the Yub picked me up from work that week, we ate at his favorite HOUSE OF MINI'S!

Supposedly this was going to be my House of Wagyu Stone Grill treat for him but since my card wasn't eligible for the promo (he he he) the Yub suggested someplace else. He doesn't want me to spend so much din.

That weekend, we met up with the family of Master Mati's date for the prom in SANDAIME.

It was our first time to go to there and it was yum!!!!

We treated them that night because it's Yub's birthday nga naman.

Plus, we're so grateful to dear Olga for agreeing to be Master Mati's date for the prom.

That Sunday, Mommy treated us to family lunch and let the birthday hub choose where to go.

Syempre, Yub's choice was Chinese food in MONGKOK!!!

Before eating, Master Mati and the bunsoy Andrei were so serious in prayer.

I confiscated it both nga agad.

That night, I treated the Yub and Master Mati to some Korean barbecue....

YECHON!!!!!!!!

It's a very reasonably priced Korean barbecue restaurant near our place.

Would love to bring the family here next time.

That week, the birthday Yub craved for some burgers.

Of course, when it comes to our burger cravings, it's always going to 8-Cuts for us.

When I order for us, I say this automatically na...

Order of 1 Cheeseburger with Veggies and Sauce on the Side. Please split the Burger in Half. And please put the Chicken on another plate.

That Sunday, we officially ended Yub's birthday celebrations with ANOTHER getogether at his favorite BUDDY'S!!!!

This time, my sister treated us all in addition to his birthday gift for Yub.

Heyyyyyyyy.... Why you treat for Yub's birthday and not me??!!!!

Or maybe it had something to do with feeling sooooo jealous that they were not able to join us for Yub's first birthday celebration in BUDDY'S? He he he he!

I won't elaborate so much anymore, but the Yub has SOOOOO MUCH to be thankful for this year. You might say that for this birthday, we are also celebrating his "second life".

But as always, he's not much into big celebrations nor did he expect anything. The Yub is already happy with what he has.

Of course, he would enjoy it more if he could spend time also with his Yap family in Lucena, but due to a recent "incident", he cannot travel muna far. He got to chat with them naman.

I know I bully you a lot (especially when the moon is full) but I'm always so thankful how you are soooooo kind and loving to your family. Like I said, I haven't met anyone who would not describe you as "mabait" because you are. VERY.
