It was a very looooong yet fun day for THE YAPPY BUNCH as we started the morning with DIPLOMAT HOTEL, then we went on with BURNHAM PARK, THE MANSION, and WRIGHT PARK.
Now should we call it a day and go home to rest?
HELL NO!!!
We are STILL going to check out ANOTHER must-see spot when you visit BAGUIO CITY....
MINES VIEW PARK!!
This very popular tourist attraction in the City of Pines will give guests a first row view of the beautiful Cordillera mountains and gold and copper mines.
MINES VIEW PARK is open from 5:00am to 8:00pm. However, I suggest that you visit while the sun's still out so you could enjoy the breath taking sights!
Upon arriving in MINES VIEW PARK, we immediately checked out the food stalls by the entrance. Yep, we might still be full from the corn in WRIGHT PARK but the aroma of the side-street delicacies were just too hard to resist!
Yummmmm!!!!!!
We had squid balls and grilled squid, and it was mucho delicioso!!! Do make room for it when you go to MINES VIEW PARK!
Master Mati had 2 sticks of the squid!!!
We all headed directly to the view point. In the park, you'll catch many stalls attracting you to have pictures with decorated horses, dogs, Igorots, or costumes for rent. We know that they charge quite a price for it that's why the kuripot in us just ignored the "commercial monetary diversions".
We went for the view AND the food anyway! He he he he he!
Yihiii! And we're here!
Even if they already prohibited the additional attraction of Igorots below catching the coins you throw, there was still quite a crowd.
It was a bit of a challenge to have great pics but we still managed. He he he he!
After taking shots of the boys (and Dani girl... he he he), BB Aning and I had a selfie!
Photobomber!!!
Poor Dani was nakukulitan na talaga with the naughty boys (ha ha ha ha ha!) so we just invited her to join us in the picture. I really wished that her BFF Tiana was with us para enjoy na din siya.
And finally...
Wow! The view was just AWESOME!!!!!!!!
We all stayed for a while to just enjoy this wonderful artwork by Mother Nature.
Then suddenly, a flock of birds were flying down below! It's as if Mother Nature was giving us a proud smile and Ta-daaah!!!!!
Team Virrey!
We stayed for quite a long time at the view point that's why we found it hard to go.
But when we finally did, picture picture pa din!!!!!
Andrei asked if we could buy something at the tiangge behind Yub.
I'm sure you know what he got. Ha ha ha ha ha! You could NEVER leave BAGUIO without having one!
My bunsoy called this his Igorototoy!!!!
We all still felt like resting (mga tanders na??) that we tried out the buttered corn sold at the food stalls. Sorry but I didn't like it. The ones sold at THE MANSION were much better.
Team Virrey also another serving of Squid Balls. Ha ha ha ha!
After we got a fill of street foods AND the beautiful view, we all squeezed into our adventure and headed home with big happy smiles on our faces!!!!
MINES VIEW PARK may be different from how I remembered it when I was a kid. Now it's more commercialized with the Igorots plus the doggies and horsies getting in on the program by cashing in on tourists.
But please still include MINES VIEW PARK in your itinerary. Besides the admission being free of charge, the view is surely something you and your kids should see even once in your lifetime. MINES VIEW PARK is already like an institution in Baguio after all and it is still worth your time to see one of the city's wonders.
And THAT we did in our super fun BAGUIO weekend!
YAY!!!!!!!
Another Family Fun Mission, accomplished!!!!
