We had a late check-out in our recent staycation in SAVOY HOTEL, and since it was about past 2:00pm, my family was already finished having our usual Sunday lunch. We could still go home and eat there of course, but we didn't want to bother anyone because most probably they're having their afternoon siestas (my usual habit too at the last day of the week!).
So where to go for our late family Sunday lunch? We strolled around and saw GILIGAN'S at the next building. Even if we just had Filipino food the night before, seeing the green signage of GILIGAN'S got me drooling because I remembered how much the Yub and I enjoyed their food years ago in their Robinson's Galleria branch.
And now we got our venue for our Sunday family lunch. Let's hope that they serve the same hot and delicious food here just like what we experienced in their Robinson's Galleria branch. Because if they do, then that means even our little lords would be happy with their food!
YAY!
Were at GILIGAN'S!!!
This was just a short walk from SAVOY HOTEL but kinda far from Maxim and Belmont.
GILIGAN'S had these nautical interiors that were probably inspired by that popular American TV show, "Gilligan's Island."
Do you know what Gilligan's Island was about?
"Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip.
That started from this tropic port, aboard this tiny ship...."
MEH. Never mind. He he he he he he! Just look it up at Wikipedia.
ROLL CALL!!!
Master Mati and the bunsoy baby Andrei!
Uuuuy... Andrei loves his Kuya!
The Chinese Dimpols and MEEEEEEEH!
Ordering up!
Egad. Talk about "Fat-Bottomed Girls" nga naman.
I have another picture where I cropped my big pwit but meh, I want to be HOWNEST with all of you. He he he he he!
GILIGAN'S table setting.
Yay! Food is here!
First on the table is Master Mati's favorite GILIGAN's Grilled Pusit (P272.00)!
This was thick but just okay with him.
We asked Andrei what he liked and he asked for some Fried Chicken (P124.00).
The skin was crispy but the meat was sorta dry. We got the impression that it was just refried for us.
Also, that cup of rice is the most sorry one I've see in a long time.
GILIGAN'S Sizzling Sisig (P205.00)!
This was one of my favorite sisig plates in the Metro especially that it was crunchy and had a LOT of mayonnaise (which I loved). However, for our meal that afternoon, the plate was not sizzling anymore. Me got the impression that it waited long in the counter for the other dishes to cook before it was served to us.
Buti na lang it was still good.
GILIGAN's Adobong Kang Kong (P58.00)!
Just because I wanted some veggies!
ERICJAZ FOODIES with the little lords in GILIGAN'S RESTAURANT!
My plate! My ugly plate!
Now you see it...
Now you don't!
LE BILL!
Even if the food was not at par with their other branches, we still had an enjoyable late lunch in GILIGAN'S RESTAURANT. I think lang nagsyesyesta din their servers. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Hopefully everything will be better the next time we eat there.
SO.
