LA BELLA TEODORA (LAS CASAS FILIPINAS DE ACUZAR)

During our super fun family staycation in LAS CASAS FILIPINAS DE ACUZAR, we discovered that the resort was isolated from the town proper. That meant, adieu, adieu, to all plans of having a Bataan food trip or having take-out!

However, we pleasantly discovered that LAS CASAS FILIPINAS DE ACUZAR was indeed like old Manila where there were also restaurants located in different corners of the resort patterned after the towns of distant past.

Oooh... Now where should we have a heritage tummy tour??? He he he he he!

So we already had a breath taking lunch at CAFE DEL RIO where the food was yum and the view was awesome. Now what should we try next?

When we went to the Heritage Tour that morning, we came upon the site where the movie HENERAL LUNA shot one of their memorable scenes. From there, we also saw that there was this Italian Restaurant hiding below the stone walls. We instantly decided that our family dinner will be in  LA BELLA TEODORA because we imagined how romantic it would be come night time.

And yes, we were right. We had a lovely time with the food and the ambiance! The dinner became more amazing with the ancient warmth of the dimly lit restaurant. We somehow experienced how it was to wine and dine when the world was still young.

Of course, we really didn't drink wine. But you know what I meant.

Here's our lovely and enchanting dinner at LA BELLA TEODORA!

Now aren't we so glad that we didn't have to go outside LAS CASAS FILIPINAS DE ACUZAR to have a wonderful meal?

LA BELLA TEODORA!

The restaurant could be found inside this dark tunnel.

A stationary Italian chef will welcome you (:P).

Inside LA BELLA TEODORA, the restaurant was warm, hushed, and pleasantly haunting. There were stone walls and red flooring that added to the overall ancient beauty of the place.

Old-style candelabras hung on wooden ceilings.

LA BELLA TEODORA was spacious and had many long tables for big groups.

They had an open kitchen and a brick-fire oven for the pizzas.

There's also an open bar.

Open (window) bar that is.

BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA H AH AH AH HA HA!

(Sighs and wipes tears).

Yeah I know that's the reason I get blocked. Tee hee!

An assortment of pastas are also available!

Plus pistols and guns!

Obviously, these are just on display and not for sale.

ARTIKULO UNO!!!!!!!!

There were also other music players from the days of yore on display.

I've always wanted to ride one of these.

A BMX bike???

Now HUWAT is this?

Does it lack a barber?

The kind attendant singing to us today's specials.

Naaaah... It just looked like it. He he he he he he!

Ordering!

While waiting for our food, LA BELLA TEODORA served a complimentary basket of assorted breads with olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip.

I asked for grated Parmesan cheese and it certainly gave a depth of creamy flavor to my dip.

It was just weird though that when the Chinese Adonis asked for some butter, LA BELLA TEODORA said they didn't have any.

Really?

What restaurant doesn't have butter?

Kahit Istar Marjerin???

Oh well... He he he he he he!

ROLL CALL!!!!

Andrei, the Chinese Adonis, and some Cheese Rings!

Me and Master Mati (who was listening to some music).

First on the table was an order of LA BELLA TEODORA 4 cheese pizza (P450.00).

The crust was thin and crunchy while there was an ample amount of melted cheese as topping.

This was certainly more than enough for the Chinese Adonis and little Andrei.

Little Andrei cannot have enough cheese and asked for more Parmesan to add to his already gooey pizza.

Sweet!

(Andrei doing his "beautiful eyes").

Our Calamari Boy Mati struck again and ordered his favorite in every restaurant!

This (P350.00) was actually more than enough for him and let us all have a taste. It was crunchy and quite nice for an appetizer.

Of course, Mati would have it usually with rice!

I got the LA BELLA TEODORA Carbonara (P350.00) to share with my boys. I don't eat as much as I used to and this would certainly be more than enough for my already bulging tummy.

ERICJAZ FOODIES with the little lords in LA BELLA TEODORA!

My bunsoy happily chomping on his crunchy pizza!

My plate! My very messy plate!

My little Androse certainly ate his creamy pasta with a lot of gusto!

In between forkfuls of pasta, he would feast on the grated Parmesan! He he he he he he!

This was one fun and memorable Italian dinner in an old-style Filipino setting!

And we're done!

Yep! We still had leftovers!

Our LA BELLA TEODORA bill!

Somebody said he was so full and sleepy that he didn't want to walk around anymore.

YEAH RIGHT.
