CONTI'S

I can't believe that I haven't posted anything about CONTI'S yet when it is one of our usual "go-to" restaurants. We may not eat there weekly but whenever we're in the mood for something other than the usual Shabu Shabu, Chicken Joy, or Spare Rib Rice, we go to CONTI'S.

AND, if we're not with my family, we meet up with our usual "go-with" couple, BGP Marian and Manong Fred!

Isn't it nice when two of your favorite things go together???

Sorta like CAPTAIN AMERICA and IRON MAN.

Oops wrong pair. Tee hee!

CONTI'S!!!!

We met up in CONTI'S Greenbelt and like its other branches, the interiors were casual, happy, and bright!

We sat by the entrance near the counter as it was the only table available. It was fine with us because at least we did not mix in the hustle and bustle of the packed tables inside.

ROLL CALL!!!!

Manong Fred and BGP Marian, my sister from another mother! Tee hee!

Mati, the Chinese Adonis, and opposing thumbs.

Andrei and Me!!!!

When they don't have school, we usually bring the little lords with our meet-ups with friends. That's why they're so used to convos with grown ups already.

Either that or me and the gang have very childlike minds!

We were attended by this jolly guy from CONTI'S!

Ordering!

First on the table is BGP Marian's mango shake!

She let us have a taste and it was so creamy, sweet, refreshing, and YUM!

But after the Mango Shake, CONTI'S in Greenbelt seemed to have forgotten us because our orders were way late. So we just did things to amuse ourselves....

Like Andrei played with his cars...

Mati read his books...

BGP Marian and I took selfies....

We just all acted crazy!

Maybe it's from hunger! Egad!

As much as we were getting impatient we did not want to show our bad tempers because the last thing we want is a WAITING to happen!

Don't know what that is?

WATCH THIS!

That's why you should NEVER get angry with the people whose hands prepare your meal. Ha ha ha ha ha!

You could do it AFTER, though.

FINALLY, after about an hour and with a million of follow ups, our food arrived but it was delivered one by one. I guess they really prioritized the tables inside! Oh well... Who would've thought that they wouldn't notice us sitting already in front of them? He he he h eh eh!

So we got the CONTI'S Mango Royale Salad solo (P140.00) as appetizer. My companions were not really salad eaters so this was shared more by me and the Manong Fred.

The wait may be long but this salad was still helluva good one! We got chilled romaine lettuce topped with creamy mayo dressing with mango and carrots. So refreshing and addicting!!!!

The house dressing was so good that I asked for extra. He he he he!

Master Mati, the little calamari boy, ordered the CONTI'S Crispy Calamari (P175.00)!

The tender squid rings were tossed and fried to a golden crisp. My boy ate this with garlic rice and was so happy while wolfing this all down.

My super favorite in CONTI'S (besides the Baked Salmon) is their Baked Prawns (P380.00)!

I always get 3 fat pieces of prawns split open and topped with cheesy cream and garlic. This is then baked to give a light crust that perfectly complements the soft meat with the sauce.

I love how it is also paired with appetizing Japanese Fried rice and sweet Crab Salad. It all just goes so well together!

This was also BGP Marian's favorite so she ordered one of this as well.

We also got the CONTI'S Gambas Champinon Al Ajillo (P190.00) to share. The mushrooms and shrimps were super savory and ultra tasty with the butter and garlic. This is so perfect with rice or a nice piece of crusty bread to mop up all those juices!!!

Sorry if I was not able to take a picture of the dish before we attacked it. This was, after about 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting. Ha ha ha ha ha!

BGP Marian ordered the CONTI'S Roast Beef in Mushroom Sauce (P380.00) and asked for mashed potatoes.

The beef was fork tender and made more savory with the tasty gravy! I may be getting this next time!

Manong Fred was in the mood for MORE beef and got the CONTI'S USDA Beef Salpicao (P435.00). Juicy chops of beef that were fried up with butter and garlic! So delicious at every mouthful!

ERICJAZ FOODIES with the little lords and the Minas at CONTI'S!!!

Did you see the MCDONALD'S? We ordered spaghetti for little Andrei because they only told us that they don't have his favorite Lasagna after an hour! Me thinks they forgot about it and when they were about to do so, uh oh... NADA!

Good thing that the Chinese Adonis and BBF (best boyfriend) Fred was there already to buy something to munch on. We could order spaghetti for Andrei in CONTI'S but we were not sure how long that will take also ha ha ha ha ha ha!

And after few minutes we were done! Tee heee!!!

Andrei-cam!

We loved CONTIS' desserts so we got the Mango Bravo (P180.00)!

CONTI'S Halo Halo!

CONTI'S Bananalicious Pie (P120.00)! This was the one we liked the least. Ha ha ha ha ha!

Oh CONTI'S! We will still be your forever loyal customers! I hope you shape up your service in the Greenbelt branch!!! In fairness, the staff was nice (when we were really getting hangry) but I hope it wouldn't take impatient diners to make you improve your food preparations.

This crazy group will eat there again of course! Hopefully everything's okay by then!

So. There.

  1. Even here in Alabang it took 30 mins. to 1 hour bago ka makakain haha! But I still love Contis. My fave was Baked Salmon! I'll try the Roast Beef next time.

    1. Hiya Erika! Ngiii! So that means our case was not an isolated one. Naku sana talaga they improve their service because no matter how good the food is, a bad experience will not make us go back to a resto again. BUT of course, we'll give CONTI'S another chance. He he he he he he he!
