BLUE POSTS BOILING CRABS AND SHRIMPS

It was a double celebration for the family so a dinner to mark the momentous events was in order.

First, we were celebrating the birthday of my Ate Jojit's new hubbie Anthony. He wanted to treat the family as his "blow-out".

Second, my lawyer brother was granted a Doctorate for Juridical Science by his college Alma Mater and we were all super proud. So now "The Doctor" also wanted to treat the family.

With that, it was decided to have a joint celebration and since it was indeed a special night, we thought of going to somewhere we've all been meaning to try out for a loooong time....

BLUE POSTS BOILING CRABS AND SHRIMPS!

(Oooh! I was so excited and hungry that they're going be sorry.... este... happy now!!! He he he he he!)

BLUE POSTS BOILING CRABS AND SHRIMPS is located in the new building across the former Unimart.

(Uuuy a random person is waiting for his date!!!)

Inside BLUE POSTS, it's casual, it's bright, it's happy!

I love too that the place had a lot of space. That's great because I plan on leaving BLUE POSTS many pounds heavier and more inches around the waist. He he he he he he!

CRABBY in so many ways!

Yup! That's me!

When we arrived, the family was about to start...

Kuya Jon, Ate Jojit, Anthony, Kuya Jay (who doesn't like pictures), Karen, and Mommy!

Beside Mommy is a seat reserved for Daddy (rip). Yup.She's always going to save a seat for him.

The little lords Mati and Andrei with their cousin Rocio!

Me and the Yubhub!

YOHOOO... BRACE YOURSELVES...

FOOD IS HERE.....

Or better yet, SEAFOOD is here!

In BLUE POSTS, they serve their piping hot seafood in plastic bags!

BLUE POSTS Shrimps (P573.00/lb)!

For this bag, we had the Blue Posts Boil, the restaurant's signature cajun sauce!

And the spicy Sambal sauce!

BLUE POSTS Crabs (market price) with corn on the cob (P45.00)!

For this order of Crabs we had it fried with Garlic!

This was so similar to the popular Crabs Maritess and we loved it!

Sorry but this is a useless blog. I was not able to keep track of all the sauces that we got for the seafood.

All I know is that, nothing was enough. Ha ha ha ha ha ha! We just kept on ordering and ordering!

And it was ALL so worth it! YUM!

The table had mallets and wooden boards to smash the shells of the crabs.

We may be a family of seafood lovers but we have somebody who is allergic while another one just loved Fried Chicken so much.

This was a great choice because family member B munched on the half order (P243.00) happily!

BLUE POSTS Garlic Pork Riblets (P499.00)!

This meat may look dry but I promise that these ribs are tender and juicy. What makes it extra delish are the fried garlic and chilis!

When in BLUE POSTS, don't forget to order their Crab Chowder (P89.00). The cup has a pretty simple serving of creamy soup with crab meat but there is something so satisfying and comforting about it. My baby Andrei would put it on his rice and eat with mucho gusto!

My brother ordered some white wine and poured it out for us.

We then had a toast for Daddy!!!!

We love you and miss you so much my DADDYOWZERS!

ERICJAZ FOODIES with the family at BLUE POSTS BOILING CRABS and SHRIMPS!

In BLUE POSTS, they'll give you plastic gloves just in case you don't want your hands to reek of garlic and seafood.

I promise you though that it's more fun to just remove the gloves and eat with your bare hands!

My picky eater Andrei was really enjoying the food!

Lost in his thoughts. Ha ha ha ha ha!

Galit galit muna!

Walang Daddy daddy din?

Ha ha ha ha ha!

Everybody was loving the food!

We can't have enough crabs. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Bunsoy Andrei even made a mini-artwork with his food.

My BLUE POSTS grub for the night!

Egad. Diet was really forgotten at this point. Like, amnesia levels.

It was extra fun to get the juicy crab meat out of the shell with the help of the mallet.

I'm just halfway with my food!

Almost everyone was finished with their food...

EXCEPT ME!

I'm going to nibble that corn dry!

Later on the very friendly BLUE POSTS servers came out with 2 cakes!

WHATTANICE!

He he he he he!

Sorry. I'm sure my expression is so irritating here.

Expression lang?

Yayyy!!!

For the birthday boy!

And for The Doctor too!!!!

Congratulations Kuya Jay and Happy Birthday Anthony!

In BLUE POSTS, you could write messages on their orange walls.

Check out Andrei's message.

Awwwwww...

Master Mati wrote a very touching note too. Somebody just didn't take a picture of it!

>:(

And we're done!

The BLUE POSTS BOILING CRABS AND SHRIMPS bill!

For dessert and coffee, we went to Mom And Tina's. It was just next door to BLUE POSTS!

The kids had their own corner. He he he he he he!

Anthony proceeded to cut Kuya Jay's cake so that we could have it with our coffee. As for the other one, he'll just take it home whole and happy. He he he he he!

Ate Jojit bought the 2 cakes that we're brought out in BLUE POSTS for the birthday and congratulatory song by the way. No corkage concerns here. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

We loved the food, the service, and just about everything about BLUE POSTS BOILING CRABS AND SHRIMPS! I'm sure, this would be the first of many times in this new favorite!
