DAKAK AQUA SPORTS CENTER (2016)

It is day 3 of our DAKAK PARK AND BEACH RESORT adventure and we are set to depart for Manila after lunch. But even if we are supposed to pack and get ready for the flight, we are still relishing all the fun and excitement that the resort has for us!

And we are capping our beach activities in the DAKAK AQUA SPORTS CENTER!

It was a beautiful and peaceful morning!

The waters in DAKAK may be inviting but I just don't feel like swimming.

SUGBA, SUGBA, ATBP (DAPITAN CITY)

I was with my TAPE Inc., family for our weekend trip in DAKAK PARK AND BEACH RESORT and yowza, we are having A LOT of fun! Our day was so packed from ziplining, river cruises, to raiding a haunted house. But what better way to end our busy Saturday than to have delicious food?

And SUGBA, SUGBA, ATBP, was there to be our "nightcap" after the very exciting day.

Of course being our "nightcap", you would think that we will be having a blah-just-get-it-over-so-we-could-rest kind of dinner. But NOOOH. SUGBA, SUGBA, ATBP actually livened up our tired old selves and made us eat again even if we're still kind of full from the River Cruise.

So read up and get hungry. Because that is what SUGBA, SUGBA, ATBP., might probably do to you. It's certainly what happened to us even if we were supposed to be full! Ha ha ha ha ha!

Check it out!

SUGBA, SUGBA, ATBP!!!!

SUGBA means to "broil" and as we went to our tables, we immediately got a whiff of the mouthwatering food they serve there.

1.   Fill-up on a heavy buffet breakfast at LE BAMBOO CAFE!

Now do you think it's time to go home for our group?

HELL NO!

Because we are still going to have some serious awesome fun for our "nightcap"!!!

And we're going to do it in GLORIA FANTASYLAND!!!!

I was with my TAPE INC family for our DAKAK PARK AND BEACH resort weekend. And after a activity packed day, we decided to squeeze in GLORIA FANTASYLAND!

DENNY'S IS NOW IN MANILA!!!!!

DENNY'S, America's popular diner, is now here in MANILA!

Yup! You heard/read/saw that right. It's here in MANILA and it will be doing all things awesome for you, the DENNY'S way!

So get prepared to be seriously and deliciously full of America's comfort food plus MORE from morning, noon, night, midnight, wee hours of the morning, break of dawn, then morning again!!!! That's because DENNY'S is ALWAYS open (read: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)!

And just to be clear...

After your late drinking with friends... YOU COULD GO TO DENNYS!

When you have finally finished that loooooooong all-day marathon of Game of Thrones...  YOU COULD GO TO DENNY'S!!!

If you want to have a power lunch in the Fort...  YOU COULD GO TO DENNYS!

Before attending "simbang gabi"...  YOU COULD GO TO DENNY'S!

AFTER your "simbang gabi", and you want to chill before going to work... YOU COULD GO TO DENNY'S!!!!

Because really, ANYTIME is still the BEST time to go to DENNY'S!!!!! And after you've popped your DENNY'S "cherry", you'll want to go again, and again, AND again, because food is just unforgettably good!

The first time THE YAPPY BUNCH were in DENNY'S was during our US trip IN 2014. It was a very busy day for us and we were looking for someplace to eat that was kid-friendly but was still open late at night. That is how we chanced upon at DENNY'S.

We loved how it was the typical diner restaurant that we often see in American movies where platters of hot breakfast grub are available even during ungodly hours. I remember enjoying our orders at DENNY'S. Like, A LOT. Even the little lords loved it! It was one of those restaurants that we "marked" to go back to the next time we're in the US. That is why we're so happy that we could get a taste of their sumptuous dishes without needing a plane ticket.  And it's in Fort! Somewhere we ALWAYS go to!!!!!

So if you want to have a taste of seriously slammin delicious American food plus more, GO TO DENNY'S. Yup! DENNY'S is here for you anytime, ALL the time!!!!

Just like ERICJAZ FOODIES!

NAKS! He he he he he he he he!

It's true though! Let me give you a hug. Yihiii!

WELCOME TO DENNY'S!!!!

ERICJAZ FOODIES was invited during the media night of DENNY'S, a day before their grand opening.

DAKAK RIVER CRUISE

Last July 2016, I was with my TAPE Inc family for a semi-company outing in DAKAK PARK AND BEACH RESORT. Even though the trip got delayed, the wait was indeed worth it because we were all having a great time.

After a heavy breakfast in LE BAMBOO CAFE, ziplining in DAKAK ADVENTURE ZONE, and going on a historical tour, it was time for our late lunch. At first we thought we were going to eat in one of the many restaurants in Dapitan which claimed to serve the "best seafood" there is. But lo and behold, we were going for a different kind of late lunch....

We'll be eating on the DAKAK RIVER CRUISE!

WOAH!

And there she is!

DAKAK ADVENTURE ZONE

Whenever I go on a getaway trip, I would always imagine myself lounging by the pool, bathing under the sun, and drinking a tall glass of ripe mango shake. Activities would usually consist of walking along the beach, piling my plate during buffet breakfast, and just snoozing in the hotel bed until whatever time we desire.

However, all changed when my officemates and I went to DAKAK BEACH RESORT!!

I don't think I could never stress how much I could be SO lazy during the weekends. My point is that from Monday to Friday, I would get up early for the boys, work the whole day till night, and sleep very late. As a result, come Saturday and Sunday, I just want to turn into a sloth.

Such was my expectation during our supposed to be weekend vacation but I never expected that it was going to be an adventurous 2 days! I already get tired just thinking about it! Our DAKAK weekend was really unforgettable for us because I was able to do things that I have never thought of doing in my lazy lifetime.

And one of them was during our afternoon in DAKAK ADVENTURE ZONE!!!!

VILLAGE TAVERN ONCE MORE!!!

Ever since BGP Mariane and Manong Fred returned from the US, we would always meet. Yup! Sometimes everyday! You might say that we are just "making up for lost time" from our 3 month separation. To be honest though, I'm sure we are just making excuses to hang out whenever we can. After we meet up, our last question would always be "When uli tayo magkikita ah???"

Of course, that's just the way we wanted it. There's really no limit to the enjoyment of hanging out with true friends who will also give the same time and effort to be with us. So for this Friday night, even if we were already together on Thursday, we will be meeting up for dinner again. And since it has been ages since we've been there last, the venue was naturally one of our new favorites...

THE VILLAGE TAVERN!

 Yup! AGAIN!

We were first to get a table. And upon taking our seats, we were immediately served with Crusty Bread with Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar.

Loved that the bread is still warm and crunchy on the outside.

A little later, BGP Marian and Manong Fred arrives!

HEY HANDSOME

Restaurants are popping up here and there that it's so easy to get lost in the "What's what" and the "Who's who". But if you've been going online these days searching for the "next big thing" in the Metro, one name always sprouts up:

HEY HANDSOME!

Noooo, I was not calling the Chinese Dimpol over. Eeewwness. But I am just stating the restaurant that you should be trying out.

Like RIGHT NOW.

HEY HANDSOME only opened last August 2016 and the reviews are just scandalous, but in a good way! There just seems to be a lot of noise about this new hub in the Fort that serves a mix of Malaysian, Indonesian, and Chinese dishes. It is always packed and almost all of the foodies I know are just delirious with the food served.

So with that, it is just high time for me to try it out.

And yes, with a handsome Chinese guy in tow!

HEY HANDSOME!!!!

If you think the restaurant owners are just too full of themselves, overly confident, OR thinking about the Chinese Dimpol when they conceptualized this, you are soooo wrong.

This is actually a play on how hawker style restaurants would call potential customers -- sorta like "Hey Joe!" or "Hey Mister!!!". But of course, the way they do it, they put something to make the customers feel good about themselves or "kilig". He he he he he! Hence, the handsome!

If you still don't get it, the concept is like "Teh, teh bili na kayoooo" in markets or the familiar "Dibidi dibidi" if somebody is offering you, pirated movies. He he he he he he he he!
