THE YAPPY BUNCH are having a HOLIDAY INN AND SUITES staycation and we are enjoying every minute with the boys!

Of course, part of that "enjoying every minute" is eating. That's why even if we were all soooooooo snug and comfy in our soft beds, we all got up and got down for breakfast! 

Let's go! I'm hungry!

Yup! Even if it's breakfast, we always change into something decent and presentable. It may be trivial to some but we believe in giving respect to the food and to others by not being sloppy bedheads.

SODAM KOREAN RESTAURANT AGAIN

One Sunday night, my BP Family met up craving for some Korean food. And when deciding where to go, they asked me for recommendations. Now even if there were many Korean restaurants offering all you can specials, there was only one place that I strongly recommended that would surely give us all a great time at a very practical price!!

SODAM is located in San Juan and it is my favorite among the Korean restaurants that offer "Eat All You Can" dishes.

HOLIDAY INN AND SUITES MAKATI STAYCATION

THE YAPPY BUNCH had a family staycation in HOLIDAY INN AND SUITES MAKATI  courtesy of Yub's Mom in celebration of her birthday. Of course, my little family is not choosy and is always game for anything especially if it means more bonding time between the four of us. Like we always say, we don't care if a place is dingy or classy -- we're happy as long as we're together.

And with our weekend in HOLIDAY INN AND SUITES MAKATI, we were able to relax, pig-out, swim, snore, get drunk, watch TV, be very lazy, go online, snuggle, chill,  take pictures, fart, LOL to the maximum,...  TOGETHER!

FLOSSOM AGAIN

This year would have been the 50th wedding Anniversary of my Mommy and Daddy. If he was still with us, he and my Mom were supposed to renew their vows in the church where my brother, sister, and I got married.

Well not to each other EEW (enter Game of Thrones music). But to our respective partners. (Ew pa din? Ha ha ha ha ha!)

Heaven however decided that they needed the most romantic and smart Civil Engineer there is that's why they asked my Daddyowzers to make a one way trip there. Oh well. If given the choice, we don't ever want him to leave us. But of course, thy will be done. And I'm sure HE knows what's best.

On the weekend of their Anniversary, my Mommy didn't want to do anything AT ALL. I asked her many times if that's sure because Eric's family is planning for a staycation and I didn't want to leave her. I suggested that maybe we should have a family dinner in celebration of their anniversary. But my Mommy was firm not to do anything: "For what? Your Dad is not anymore with us."

Still, THE YAPPY BUNCH cannot just go on what was supposed to be a special Saturday. I asked my Mommy if she wanted to have lunch at least. Nothing grand I insisted. It's just a little something to greet her and Daddy a Happy 50th Anniversary.

Finally she agreed, even insisting to take care of the bill but we wouldn't have it: This was our special treat for her.

We decided to take her out to FLOSSOM because I recently had a delicious dinner there with my friends and I wanted my family to try it. And like I predicted, they loved the dishes plus the vibe of the place! Yayyy! Glad to make my Mom happy!

Our celebration may be minute compared to what we were really planning for my parents but we all had fun. Come to think of it, our lunch is not only because of their Anniversary per se since, like what my Mom said, my Dad is already in heaven. What we could be celebrating here is our togetherness; with my Mom and Dad's marriage they formed our family with deep love for each other and commitment. There may be other more fashionable, adventurous, and glamorous families out there but I will always choose my own fambam because  we value togetherness and finding happiness wherever (even at home).

Where do you think the Yub and I got our mantra where we don't care if a place is dingy or classy because we always find silliness and enjoyment in everything as long as we're together!

And in honor of family togetherness inspired by our Dad (who managed to celebrate everything with food), we had an enjoyable lunch in FLOSSOM!

It was a sunny Saturday and we're happy that the accommodating servers in FLOSSOM seated us in their private room since there was a baby shower going on outside.

TGIFRIDAYS WITH OUR BP GROUP

TGIFRIDAYS has been becoming one of our default restaurants when we have a getogether and celebrating something special.

For tonight, we're here again to celebrate the birthday of my pretty inaanak Sasha! And once again, TGIFRIDAYS gave us a delicious and fun night!

When you're here, it always feel like FRIDAYS!

NEW KAMAMESHI HOUSE AGAIN!

During the Chinese Dimpol's 41st birthday celebrations, we were wondering where to treat him for our family Sundate lunch. And good ol' Yub chose the resto which we've been craving for all along....

My family have been fans of KAMAMESHI already and I recently introduced this to my boys. Now they're under the spell of its awesomeness also!!!!

KAYA ( POWERPLANT MALL )

The family was in Powerplant Mall and attended a mass offered for my Daddyowzers. When deciding where to eat, my Mom asked the little lords.

Me: "Mati and Andrei na naman will decide?? What about me?? I'm the bunsoy! I'm the foodie! I'm the one who has different cravings that are always a hit with the family??? Tapos I will again be second fiddle to these snotty boys???"

Mati: "I like Korean food Lola so let's go to KAYA!"

Me: "(Realizing that I too was craving Korea that night) Aaaah... Eeehhh..... Yeah! The boys know best nga naman! What they want, they will get! They're the real bosses!"

He he he he! Maybe that's why my loving Dad (rip) and Mom would always go for what my boys wanted: they have such great taste that they could  never go wrong!
