NATIONAL MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

THE YAPPY BUNCH were in Manila to check out the different museums in celebration of our Independence Day. Even if the little lords were objecting at the start (because we deprived them the opportunity of being lazy the whole day), they later appreciated the different treasures that showcased our history and culture.

So yayyy! Our gimmick was a success!!!

After the NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE FINE ARTS, we decided to go to the newly renovated NATIONAL MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY!

OUR INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION (2018)

It's June 12, 2018, and like what we do every year, THE YAPPY BUNCH are out to celebrate our Independence Day Holiday!

But where should we go?

We've been to the historic sites like Fort Santiago and Luneta just recently that we decided to try something different. That's when we remembered that Manila museums are free of charge this holiday.

YIPEE SKIP! MUSEUMS!!! I'm sure the little lords will REALLY have a good time now!!!

He he he he he! Yeah right.

Well, as much as we want to be considerate of the little lords' "kiddie desires" (which would most likely be consisted of playing their gadgets all day long), we wanted them to have different kind of experiences that they wouldn't have on ordinary days. And since it IS our INDEPENDENCE DAY, we thought of taking our boys to see how special Filipino talent and culture are without outside foreign influences.

Thus, the museums!!!!

And after their initial groans and whines, in the end, they admitted that they all had fun!!!

"Just not everyday Mommy" Andrei clarified.

Okay fine. As long as you two enjoyed our gimik in this yearly family tradition, the Yub and I are already happy. Here's hoping that you'll remember the great time we had today so that next year, you'll forget all the whining and groaning you did, kungdi KUKUTUSIN KO NA KAYO!!!

Ah eh... Kidding. Love you boys... Hi hi hi hi....

(Belated) HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY everyone!!!!

Wohoo!

It may be bed weather but we're out early for INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!!

OUR INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION (2017)

THE YAPPY BUNCH are celebrating the INDEPENDENCE DAY and like what we do every year, we want it to be something educational for the little lords. I actually had something else planned but it did not push through because of distance and traffic matters. We then decided to just go somewhere which has already been like a "comfort venue" for us because I always trust that we will all have a great time for the full day's activities.

And that place is MANILA.

Artikulo Uno!!!! (Wrong caption I know but I cannot help it sorry.)

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY from a very serious YAPPY BUNCH!!!

Yes. We take our holidays SERIOUSLY.

We woke up extra early that Saturday morning because we wanted to get an early start!

We love going to Manila on our "educational days" because you'll find there many museums and venues that showcase the "old Philippines". Besides giving the little lords an outing that would be pocket-friendly for us practical parents, the experience would be much more memorable because they will also be learning about significant Philippine historical events.

Now ain't that perfektow mundo for the Independence Day???

There is indeed nothing like having a field trip with the family!!!!!

MANILA DAY (OUR INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION)

I mentioned in an earlier post that for June 12, 2013, we celebrated the Philippine Independence Day by going around Manila and showing the little lords some of our famous landmarks. At first, we thought of going to various museums, as we have already done before, but we thought, why not go to places we haven't been to as a family?

So off to Manila Baywalk, Luneta or Rizal Park, and Planetarium we go.

Okay, I know that the PLANETARIUM does not really have anything to do with the country's independence but I included it in the itinerary for my own personal reasons. HA!

So after our Filipino brunch at ARISTOCRAT (SEE HERE), we dropped by Manila Baywalk to look for a loyal steed to officially start our MANILA DAY!
