We're going to Antipolo!!!!!

It's our annual KAIN TULOG GANG summer getogether and we are going to Antipolo for a day that's sure to be jampacked with hungry people and FOOD!!!!

ANOTHER ANTIPOLO BARBECUE (2016)

It is very rare that we go to Antipolo City because traffic can be discouraging. However, if the premise was a barbecue brunch courtesy of my brother in his lovely home, then we're there.

Because believe me, no restaurant in Antipolo City could match our love for Kuya Jay's barbecue. I think it's the ONLY reason why we go there!

ANTIPOLO BARBECUE!!!!

It was a bit traffic going to Antipolo even on a Saturday. The Chinese Dimpol and I didn't mind so much because we knew something heavenly was waiting for us....

If you're guessing BARBECUED MEATS then you're right!

Oops! To think that the little lords stayed for the night in Antipolo. But with hungry tummies, we sorta forgot about them... Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Of course we missed them. In fact, we missed them so much that we went out to have dinner and a movie on a Friday night. Boohoo!!!!!

KTG SUMMER FUN IN ANTIPOLO (2016)

ERICJAZ FOODIES are going to Antipolo for swimming, eatin', and MORE with my foodie friends, THE KAIN TULOG GANG (KTG)! And we're so excited!!!!!

Even if it was set up a month away, THE YAPPY BUNCH are surely going. Because what I love about KTG is that not only do we have a lot of love for eating and sleeping (tee hee) but we also focus on family togetherness as well!

Food, friends, fun, and family --- that already spells a PERFECT Saturday for us!

And it definitely was!!!!

When we arrived, the pool and the trampoline were waiting in THE PICKIEST EATER'S home!

ANTIPOLO BARBECUE (CHUCKIE'S VISIT)

Having a family barbecue in Antipolo has already been a favorite activity for ERICJAZ FOODIES that, unlike before, we do not mind braving the traffic to go up my brother's "mountain". Now, even for the most trivial of reasons, we find ways to get my brother firing up that grill!! And yes, by hook or by crook, we're going to get our gritty teeth on those very juicy barbecues!

Good thing that during Chuckie's vacation in the Philippines, we do not need to come up with another mundane excuse to have another ANTIPOLO BARBECUE.

We just needed to force Chuckie to say so! He he he he!

Kidding aside yes, we really allotted a special day for my FOB nephew (tee hee) to have our favorite barbecue high up the mountains. And like what happened in our previous ANTIPOLO trips we were feasting on our grilled favorites like there was no tomorrow.

Of course, while eating, we were already conjuring up another excuse to have ANOTHER Antipolo Barbecue.

With or without Chuckie...

When we arrived in ANTIPOLO, a long table was already set up at the azutea of my brother's house.

Yup! This will be the scene of the "crime" later!

ANTIPOLO BARBECUE (LUNCH)

Ever since we had an unforgettable Antipolo barbecue at my brother's house late last year, we always find ourselves working the epic dinner into our conversations hoping that there would be an immediate sequel to it:
- "Ah yes, Christmas is just around the corner and there are sales everywhere. I wonder if it's traffic going to Antipolo?"
- "There may be delicious seafood in New Orleans but I'm sure it's as good as  the grilled shrimps you served us in Antipolo before, remember?"
- "Kuya Jon too bad you did not join us in Kuya Jay's barbecue. NEXT TIME you should really go with us!"

It also encouraged us to be creative....
-"Kuya Jay, Mati has a "field trip" this weekend in Antipolo. Is that the weekend you'll be having another barbecue?"

Of course, when our tummies really got craving, it compelled us to be a little bit more straight forward.
- "Kuya Jay hope you could have another barbecue real soon!"

Then... things got desperate....
-"Kuya Jay please.... Let's have another barbecue..."

It later on went to borderline pathetic....
-"Kuya Jay we'll just leave the kids at home so that only me and Eric could go to your barbecue.....

He he he he! Just kidding (or am I?) but it really didn't take much of a nudge for our brother to fire up his favorite grill once again.  After his repeated invites, everyone's schedule finally matched and the family had a memorable ANTIPOLO BARBECUE once more.

You could say that we all got so excited that the day finally came that we accidentally left our Kuya Jon at home! He he he he!

Of course I'm kidding again!
