COCO ICHIBANYA AGAIN (2019)

You know us, whenever we enjoy a certain restaurant, it is most likely that we'll go back there again and again. Take the case of COCO ICHIBANYA in Estancia Mall. THE YAPPY BUNCH ate there the week before after Master Mati's Kali lessons, then the following week, we are back ONCE AGAIN because how the baby bunsoy pleaded!!!

Oh wells... It's a good thing that Master Mati was hungry after his KALI lessons that he was fine to eat at ANYTHING (though he's grumbling a bit that "pinagbigyan na naman namin si Andrei).

As for us, yep, we're still SO fine to have dinner once more in COCO ICHIBANYA because we're hungry too (hirap kaya mag-antay!!). He he he he he he!

And as always, it was an enjoyable dinner and family time for all of us!

COCO ICHIBANYA (ESTANCIA MALL)

After so many months, (because of the Christmas break, then exams, then etc etc), Master Mati is FINALLY back taking up Kali. If you've seen movies like Bourne Identity, John Wick, the Equalizer, etc, they used Kali in their hand to hand combat scenes. If you're interested, I'll put more info below.

My dearest Mati is not really sports-minded and gets lazy with any type of activity that would get him sweaty (che!!) but his interest got piqued by Kali and he was really into the lessons. Hopefully he would be promoted to a higher level yun lang, he doesn't regularly attended sessions because of our weekend schedule.

Yohooo!!! KALI!!!

Syempre, Mati has our full support while he takes lessons. We're all here -- the Yub, Andrei, me, and SERENITEA!!!!

BANANA LEAF CURRY (ESTANCIA MALL)

My BP Group met up one Sunday to have a belated birthday dinner for our good friend, Chel, and after so many suggestions, arguments, threats, fist fights, sabunutans, choke slams, and hugs (??????), we finally decided on a venue....

COCO ICHIBANYA DATE WITH MATI

For so long Master Mati and I have been planning to eat in COCO ICHIBANYA. But since it's not located in Powerplant Mall and we have two party poopers who dislike curry, it's been put off many times.

Finally during the Mother's Day week (yes, it's a week for me... ha ha ha ha ha ha!), Master Mati thought of taking me out for our yearly Mother's Day date. And naturally, the choice for us that night was the long awaited COCO ICHIBANYA!!!

YAHOONESS!!!!

My date is here!!!!

We went straight to COCO ICHIBANYA in Greenhills.

THAI LANNA (BGP MARIANE'S US TRIP)

Hullooo! I'm sure by now you all know how much I L-O-V-E my silly little foodie blog and how I would only document personal experiences. For this post, I'm using ERICJAZ FOODIES to cope with the absence of my dear beloved BGP Mariane and have her share one of her unforgettable meals while in vacation in the US.

I'm missing her but I'm enjoying this blogpost too, so YEY!

  ============================

THAI LANNA
By Mariane R. Mina

Thanks BGP.

Fred, Pao Pao, and I are currently on vacation in the US and staying with my relatives from my mother's side in New Jersey.

One day, Ninang Min invited the family out for a lunch in THAI LANNA. My ninang said they serve delicious Thai food and wanted us to try it.

The sun may be out this lunch but the weather was still nice and comfortable.

It was good that we were able to get a parking space because the cool weather seemed to have prompted many people to go out.

RYU RAMEN AND CURRY

I know it's the start of summer and the weather is just absolutely scorching. But let me add more to the heat by featuring yet again ANOTHER RAMEN POST!

Yeah! Yeah! You should know by now that when there is RAMEN, ERICJAZ FOODIES will come KNOCKIN'!

I'm sorry. It must be the heat. I'm getting cornier than usual.

Anywho, one Sunday many, many, weeks ago, the Chinese Adonis and I were curious at trying out a ramen house we've seen in SM JAZZ, Makati City. We have actually heard about RYU a long time ago but its branches were not geographically desirable for me and the hub that's why we'll only be able to try it when the restaurant is now nearer to our "looove abode" (peeyew).  We asked the little lords if they wanted to join us and only Mati was interested since he shared my love for noodles. As for Andrei? Forget about him. We certainly did.

Oh I'm joking! He went with his grandparents.

I think.

Tee Hee!

So we headed out to RYU that night armed with our desire to try out some Ramen other than our usual noodle favorites. How did it fare up? Read on and find out.

I told you I'm cornier than usual today. :P

RYU RAMEN AND CURRY!!

We tried out the RYU branch in the new SM JAZZ Mall and upon hearing a familiar name, Mati joked that I owned the place. He he he he he!

BANANA LEAF

BANANA LEAF CURRY has always been one of our usual choices when we want to indulge in delicious Asian food that is not heavy in our pockets. What was not to love about it? The servings were good for sharing while the food was cooked to suit our simple but ALWAYS hungry taste. So when we went out with friends to celebrate the Chinese Adonis' birthday for his usual week long celebration, it was no wonder that the leading contender  for our meet up was our "usual" BANANA LEAF CURRY!

And as USUAL, it was a night for us and our tummies to remember!

BANANA LEAF!

When I meet with my "Pretty Mommies" group, we always have it in PODIUM since it closes late (10:00pm) even during on weekdays.
