PREMIER THE SAMGYUPSAL (SAN JUAN)

The YAPsters have this tradition of fetching the little lords on their last day of exams ( be it for the 1st, 2nd, or etc quarter) and treating them out to their restaurant of choice. It's more like a good job pat from me and the Yub for the boys that they could eat. He he he he he he!

For that Saturday (yes, the last day always falls on a weekend), I asked my guys what they felt like having for lunch and they both shouted "Korean!!"

I suddenly had an epiphany (yep food does that to me) and remembered how the Yub and I passed by this Korean restaurant going home from work.

PREMIER THE SAMGYUPSAL.

What really caught our attention was that they offered this buy 1 take 1 promo for their diners since it was their opening month. And after reading the reviews of their other branches, I was convinced that it was worth a try.

So really, it was density, este, destiny for us. And not because of the buy 1 take 1 deal, or how near it was to our place, but we all had an enjoyable lunch because we loved the food.

Wohoo! Korean!!! Annyeonghaseyo!!!!!!!

Hellooooo boys!

DIN TAI FUNG ( HONG KONG 2017 )

THE YAPPY BUNCH were in HONG KONG having an awesome time, but as much as we were fulfilling our kiddie wishes with DISNEYLAND we were somehow failing in the "food trip department". Don't get us wrong, we're loving the restaurants that we went to (ICHIRAN, MCDONALDS, DISNEYLAND, etc) but these were not the hole-in-the-wall hubs that we were craving for -- Foreign franchises pa sila!!!!

We had our last chance to redeem ourselves with the day of our departure. We were hoping that with our city tour, we could eat somewhere that was not a franchise and was exclusive only in Hong Kong.

With that, we ended up with DIN TAI FUNG!!!!

Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!

OKAY FINE.

DIN TAI FUNG was not really what I had in mind especially that it was a popular franchise from Taiwan and all. But the Chinese Dimpol remembered how much I raved over it (from my HK trip with officemates) and how I would always claim it was much better than the Philippine counterpart, that when I asked him where we should have our late lunch, he didn't give any choice but DIN TAI FUNG.

HAY! Even if napaaaaaagod ako sa layo ng lakad, DIN TAI FUNG daw!!!!!

So we had our last official HONG KONG meal in DIN TAI FUNG and I'm sure, the "foodie gods" were laughing at us. But honestly, after our very delicious and super sulit meal, I didn't care. Sure we didn't try out local restaurants and went "full commercialized" but after our lunch at DIN TAI FUNG, I realized that this trip was after all more about enjoyment, fun, and happiness -- and we certainly made not just the Yub but everyone smile with their full tummies.

OF HANSEL AND GRETEL, AND MUSEUM CAFE!

For seven years now, THE YAPPY BUNCH attended Repertory Philippine's kiddie theater organized by Don Bosco Elementary School. Attendance is required but even if we could just buy tickets for our boys, the Chinese Dimpol and I choose to make it a family event that  we look forward to yearly.

And for last year's 2016, it was HANSEL AND GRETEL!

It was free seating and the lines were already very long even if we arrived an hour before the show.

TUAN TUAN BRASSERIE (POWERPLANT MALL)

Whenever the Chinese Dimpol and I try out a new restaurant and loved it, we would always end the night promising that we will bring the little lords there. Yep! We always do! Sometimes we would even reserve "sequel meals" in that restaurant in order to reserve it with the little lords.

Like the time the Chinese Dimpol and I had dinner in TUAN TUAN BRASSERIE in POWERPLANT MALL!

It was actually my second time in TUAN TUAN BRASSERIE and I enjoyed it so much with my High School friend in their Promenade branch that I immediately planned a date night here with the hub.

By the way, I was doing my usual "peace" sign and not the "second time" gesture.

I am not THAT corny.

Or am I?

HEY HANDSOME

Restaurants are popping up here and there that it's so easy to get lost in the "What's what" and the "Who's who". But if you've been going online these days searching for the "next big thing" in the Metro, one name always sprouts up:

HEY HANDSOME!

Noooo, I was not calling the Chinese Dimpol over. Eeewwness. But I am just stating the restaurant that you should be trying out.

Like RIGHT NOW.

HEY HANDSOME only opened last August 2016 and the reviews are just scandalous, but in a good way! There just seems to be a lot of noise about this new hub in the Fort that serves a mix of Malaysian, Indonesian, and Chinese dishes. It is always packed and almost all of the foodies I know are just delirious with the food served.

So with that, it is just high time for me to try it out.

And yes, with a handsome Chinese guy in tow!

HEY HANDSOME!!!!

If you think the restaurant owners are just too full of themselves, overly confident, OR thinking about the Chinese Dimpol when they conceptualized this, you are soooo wrong.

This is actually a play on how hawker style restaurants would call potential customers -- sorta like "Hey Joe!" or "Hey Mister!!!". But of course, the way they do it, they put something to make the customers feel good about themselves or "kilig". He he he he he! Hence, the handsome!

If you still don't get it, the concept is like "Teh, teh bili na kayoooo" in markets or the familiar "Dibidi dibidi" if somebody is offering you, pirated movies. He he he he he he he he!

THE NEW SODAM KOREAN BARBECUE!

These days, KOREAN food has been number one on my list because not only are there MANY buffet deals currently to tempt my sanity, but I'm now obsessed with two Youtubers who I follow religiously: SEONKYOUNG LONGEST (for her recipes) and MOMMY TANG (for her Mukbang)!!!!

With that, I was ALWAYS craving for KOREAN cuisine. Whenever the Chinese Dimpol would ask where I wanted to eat, I would answer Kimchi today, then Jajangmyeon the next.  So naturally if there's a cheap buffet promo, we are sure to go to it. KOREAN RESTAURANTS have a lot of that anyway.

Imagine my joy when I discovered that SODAM KOREAN BARBECUE was back with a vengeance AND a promo! I really thought months ago that the restaurant closed shop because the place was always dark when we would pass by it. The thought of SODAM not existing anymore sort of bummed me out because I personally found their buffet deal the most cheap and "sulit". For one, the dishes served were hot off the pans and newly cooked. And second, for the cheap price of P322.00, they already offered eat all you can Pork AND Beef barbecue.

Like I said, "sulit" right?

It was a happy day when I learned that they only transferred to another venue in San Juan and they place now had a brighter feel to it. On top of that, they had a promo at only P299.00 for lunch AND dinner!!!

Oh yes. Miracles do happen to the person who is so hungry for it (pun intended).

Now let's start EATING!

ANNAM NOODLE BAR PHILIPPINES

Before the "ramen boom", it is the very comforting Pho that ruled our hunger when we are craving for something hot and flavorful to slurp on when the weather gets chilly. I for one would always drool over the clear soup glistening and very aromatic with the chewy rice noodles and fatty thin cuts of meat. Each slurp becomes more unforgettable with the crunch of the bean sprouts and minty basil leaves. After you're done with a full bowl of Pho, it is very likely that you'll sit back, close your eyes, and silently rejoice over that wonderful meal. Don't worry no one will judge you. The diners from other tables might be rubbing their bellies anyway.

Wow. Just WOW. Like, Jon Snow winning BATTLE OF THE BASTARDS kind of wow.

Vietnamese Pho is truly something. It is what we always go back to when we are in search of a refreshing meal experience that will warm and satisfy our tummies. There is really nothing like a piping hot bowl of Pho!!!

And to further heighten the enjoyment factor for Pho lovers out there, ANNAM NOODLE BAR recently opened it's doors in their first Philippine branch! Great news right??? This popular franchise that boasts of "in the rage" locations at Singapore and Indonesia is going to magnify your love for Pho AND Vietnamese cuisine to a whole new level.

So yes, it is time to go back to the familiar hot slurps of Pho but now, a new "spot on the block" is going to give you a different kind of maximum enjoyment to your Vietnamese favorites.

ANNAM NOODLE BAR!!!

ANNAM NOODLE BAR is not your typical eatery that serves Vietnamese food. It has warm lights, brown and red hues, and a cozy vibe that is perfect for all types of diners!

KOGI BULGOGI

Even if THE YAPPY BUNCH doesn't have a Kpop drama in our downloaded list and even if we haven't been to the country yet, we always have a craving for Korean food. At first it was just me and the master Mati. But as time went on, even the Chinese Dimpol and little Andrei learned to love the exciting flavors that Korean cuisine would always bring.

One time I was really yearning for some Jajangmyeon, or the Korean black bean noodles that I often see on Youtube. After a few clicks on the internet, I found out that only a handful of restaurants serve this Korean specialty -- and one of them is KOGI BULGOGI.

I guess you guys know what happened next!

KOGI BULGOGI!!!

Yup!

That very night I called the Chinese Dimpol and asked him to fetch me with the kids because we're having Korean for dinner!

LEE HAK KOREAN RESTAURANT

I was browsing Facebook one time and I saw this sponsored post on LEE HAK'S Buffet Promo. I checked the album and saw that it was indeed a pretty good deal because for only P322.00 (weekday dinner rate), you could help yourself to some Korean Pork and Chicken Barbecue plus a variety of food selections from their buffet. Though the promo does not include Beef Barbecue, I still think that it's worth a try.

So I called home and contacted the usual culprits who would enjoy this Korean buffet promo: one was Mati, my little foodie who lives for Bibimbap, the other is the Chinese Dimpol, who lives to please me.

YEHESSSSS!!!!

If you're wondering about Andrei, I invited him but he cheekily responded that he'll only join us if we're going to SAMBOKOJIN.

And we're leaving him.

Tee hee!

Anyway, check out our fun and VERY filling dinner at LEE HAK KOREAN RESTAURANT!

LEE HAK KOREAN RESTAURANT!

You won't miss this along Pioneer Center because it's the restaurant with the ultra bright lights on their signage!

I made reservations to ensure a table for us tonight but since there were a lot of people availing of the promo, we still had to wait.

MEGA BUFFET RESTAURANT (UNLIMITED MEAT BBQ)

Just in case you're a girl who was lucky enough to go with me in College, you would agree that my barkada was one of the CRAZIEST bunch of gals there is. Don't worry. We did not do anything illegal that would give us bad records (drugs, alcohol, sex transplants), but we provided a lot of NOISY fun in the Advertising block of that batch that teachers would shake their heads and laugh at the memory!

One time, I got in trouble in the class for putting make up and whistling in front of the teacher. The teacher reprimanded me and as punishment, he announced with a smirk that we would have a long exam tomorrow all thanks to me.  The next day we did take the exams and guess what? I was the highest! Ha!

So yeah we were noisy and unruly but we had a bit of right to be!  Even if we were guilty of many wild antics, we were the top gals in the class when it comes to grades and most of us (me included) were officers in different organizations. He he he he he he he!  That's why whenever there's a chance, I love getting together with my College friends. Sadly, we don't see each other as much as we want to because well, besides work and family, we often take for granted making plans with each other, saying there's always a "next time".

It's a good thing that our plans to go Korean FINALLY pushed through. My friend Michelle has been telling us about this very affordable Korean buffet in the South that we should try. Since I'm game normally with ANYTHING (my motto is if there's a will there's a way) and I value our friendship, we traveled SOOOOOO far to the South just to see each other.

And wow what fun it was! We just ate, laughed, then chatted about the good ol' days and the gals who were not able to join that night.

BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!

Don't feel too sorry for them. We made up some of the stories anyway! Tee hee!

Oh I'm kidding.

Or am I? :P

And here we are...

MEGA BUFFET RESTAURANT!

When I asked Mich what's the name of the restaurant, she said that I should just look for a sign that says "UNLIMITED MEAT BBQ".

And she was right!

The humble entrance going to MEGA BUFFET RESTAURANT!

Whenever I see the word UNLIMITED my tummy gives out a slight grumble as if it's saying "Thank you!"

It's a different case for my head. Whenever I see a picture of Angelina Jolie, my head goes "It's me...."

Tee Hee!

CHUCK'S VACATION IN THE PHILIPPINES

Charles aka Chuck (or if I could get away with it, Chuckie) is my nephew via my favorite cousins Kuya Nap and Ate Sheila from Las Vegas. Even if they live faraway, we still feel so close to him because I saw him from a cute wee chubby baby into a giant whom I have to do the tippy toes with to do "beso beso".

Me and Chuckster (in black and with his brothers) in 1998!

Dear Chuckie, unlike his other brother, would seem to be the quiet type but as they say looks could be VERY deceiving. He may not be the Jim Carrey outrageous loudmouth but he could always make me guffaw with his dry humor and wit. It's always a fun time with Chuckie and I love that when he's onto you, it means he really likes you. Because even if he was named after that terror doll (yes my Kuya Nap is so cool), there is nothing fake or scary about it. What you ALWAYS get is a tall gentleman who quietly observes and would shoot out witty one liners and expressions. I'm glad that he grew up the way he is now. So proud to call him my nephew! My cousins did a very good job rearing him up!

I'll find a younger and more embarrassing picture of you Chuckie soon!

My nephew Chuckie (sorry I can't help it I know he hates that name) currently works in Korea as an English teacher and had a 2 week vacation coming up. He thought that instead of flying to Las Vegas (where he will return to in April) he could just go to Manila to spend time with us. At the prospect of seeing him again, we were all excited because we missed him last year when we were in Las Vegas. Mati saw him in his first trip in the US when he was very young but Andrei was intrigued because finally he's meeting the owner of the many SIMPSON'S dvd  and Xbox he abused.

As I was planning our itinerary, I asked Chuckie what he wanted to do for his short stay in the Philippines. To my surprise, he did not asked to be taken to beaches, tourist spots, or even malls! What he listed were foods that he wanted to try and he specified that the weirder the better. Nothing fancy shmancy -- he just wanted to have the things he cannot have in Korea or Las Vegas. Wow ! He turned out to be a different kind of foodie. Now THAT I didn't know!

That does it. I'm going to adopt this nephew of mine soon!

Upon Chuck's arrival in the Philippines, his first request was to have dinner at JOLLIBEE! Yep! JOLLIBEE! So the whole family (minus my eldest brother) got a long table for dinner at our country's number one fast food chain!

Mati was smitten with his Kuya Chuckie and didn't leave his side. They talked non-stop like there was no tomorrow!

Besides the chicken joy and jollihotdog, Chuckie had a plate of JOLLIBEE spaghetti! I remember one time when he was younger and he found his pasta dry. When I requested for extra sauce immediately for him, he was impressed.

I remember him saying "Going the extra mile. That's nice."

He was 8 years old then.

After dinner, we had coffee at SUGARHOUSE.

OLD PENANG

Last December 21, 2014, I treated the boys to watch a HI 5 concert as part of Andrei's week-long birthday celebration. AND, as our standard "pre-concert practice", we needed some "fuel" to energize ourselves up before the show. I don't really go to Resorts World often so I was clueless where to eat there. After checking out the restaurants in the vicinity and choosing where to eat, we were shocked when lo and behold, EVERYTHING was jam packed that Sunday! Oh well, I should've expected something like that already especially on a weekend. But my hungry tummy believed that food will always prevail, except of course, in that instance, it won for the other diners.

Blast you RECIPES!!! Why is your chicharon bulaklak so good that you coveted many more customers before me?!!!!

Anywho, the hungry Yub and I walked around like Sisa searching for her lost children. Although we looked nothing like the crazed woman, we still appeared pathetic because we were drooling all over ourselves. Tee Heee!!!!!

So we came upon this restaurant which was a floor above the venue for our HI 5 concert. At first I was hesitant to step inside because although there were available seats, I saw some customers getting impatient with their "delayed" orders. BUT, we didn't have a choice anymore because even our trusty MCDONALD's had lines extending to kingdom come.   So we went inside, settled our bums on their wooden chairs and just hoped for the best.

Of course, upon getting a whiff of the hot and sizzling food beside us, all hesitations vanished. And for that short moment I actually forgot about the show and started looking forward for the grub to come.

Yep! That's what I love about food. It has that magic of making everything alright. PLUS, it smells good, looks good, and tastes good.... even more than my husband!

Tee Hee!

THAT'S what you get for snoring too loud last night!!!!

MOON KOREAN BARBECUE (LOS ANGELES)

Even if we were having a lot of fun in Las Vegas, it was time to pack up our bags and go to what I feel is the theme park capital of the US....

CALIFORNIA!

The long and winding road.... NOT!

It's going to be a 6 hour drive for THE YAPPY BUNCH!

Now as much as I love my relatives, there is a different kind of fun by going on this trip by our lonesome. We suddenly had this exciting feeling of independence knowing that we could talk about whatever we like, scream as loud as we wanted, and fart as much as we can.

YEAH! Dibs on the last one. He he he he he!

Everytime we drive to California, this is the most familiar sight for me as we exit Nevada -- the roads going up to the mountains. My husband never noticed it until he looked at the rear view mirror and shrieked like a girl realizing how high we were!

After arriving in Los Angeles, we dropped our things and chatted with my other cousin, Ate Baby. We promised to talk some more later on because we will be meeting my high school friends.

My HS friend Shiela passed by to pick us up. Upon seeing each other there was a lot of laughter, screams, and gab gab gab!

Here we are at MOON BARBECUE!

PHO HOA NOODLE SOUP (PART DEUX)

There was a time that I was doing absolutely nothing so I decided to just go on Facebook and stalk at my usual suspects. One FB account I always check on is by Spanky Enriquez (DAILY SPANKS) and for that day, he posted THIS on his wall...

I don't know if he did it on purpose but I'm sure that he made a lot of noodle lovers suffer that day. Just watching the sexy Anthony Bourdain almost making love to his Vietnamese pho noodles was excruciating --- it made me drool even if I was in the company of other people.

A funny sight I was, I'm sure.

After that, I was obsessed. I just HAVE to have Pho Noodles and slurp the way Mr. Bourdain did. I was so lucky that when my Chinese Adonis picked me up from work that night he asked my most favorite question -- "Where do you want to have dinner?"

Only 1 answer came to mind -- "DEFINITELY, Pho Hoa!"

PHO HOA!!!

MAK CHANG

When we celebrated Andrei's birthday weekend at Sofitel and thinking of where to eat, I suggested MAK CHANG and hoped that my little family would agree to their "matriarch's" suggestion. Well actually they don't really have a choice but who wants to hear complaining and wailing while having dinner right?

And I was just referring to my husband there...

Ha ha ha ha ha!

Anyway, since I am so obsessed with blogger Jin Loves To Eat and religiously read her posts, I have been raring to try one of her favorite Korean restaurants namely MAK CHANG. So it's good that we were in Manila during Andrei's birthday weekend and better that they shared my enthusiasm in trying this restaurant.

Of course it's also "the best" because my husband paid for everything and did not make me shell out a cent which is the usual practice when I drag him along at my chosen restaurant.

See hubbies? It's all about COOPERATION. You guys should all COOPERATE with what the wife wants!

Har de har har!

MAK CHANG!!!

DENCIO'S (CAPITOL GREENSTREET)

When you grow up, there would just be times when you  want to get away from it all.

Some may reason out "harassment" from work... or a breather from school.

I'm sure my husband would give a shout out that he wants a day-off from his very loud (oops), hyper (huh), over emotional (now wait a minute) wife.

(Jaz - Why don't the words "hot", "beautiful", "sexy" work???)

As for me, I just want a place to relax. Though the city could be very exciting, there are times where I just want to stare and breathe in utmost relaxation (if possible) in Metro Manila.

And if great food is within an arm's reach, then that probably means you're in heaven.

With DENCIO's Capitol Greenstreet Mall branch, you could get all of the above. What you have is a restaurant situated in a quiet location in Quezon City and a breath-taking scenery to further complement the delicious food that DENCIO's is famous for.

And like I said, having the country's best sisig within arm's reach and a matching view to enjoy, it might just feel like I am in heaven.

(Eric -- "Maybe that is the only kind of heaven you'll EVER enjoy")

Why you! >:(

BOON TONG KEE

My husband Eric (aka the Chinese stalker, aka Yub, aka "Mark Anthony Fernandez", aka "Kenneth Duremdes") and I are very much the North and South of attitudes and habits that we truly are the living testament of how "Opposite's Attract".

One of the most evident proof of how he is two steps forward while I am two steps back is the pace of our grubbin'. While my Yub almost inhales his food thru his white nostrils, I take hours almost YEARS to finish a plate.

My husband says when he loves the food so much, he eats everything in a New York minute because it is so good, he wouldn't waste another second of the grub on his plate.

For me, besides arranging the food neatly on my spoon, I like to take my time and savor everything that's going on in my mouth. Of course, since I rarely eat by myself (imaginary friends included) I chat and exchange stories with my dinner companion/s. Now that takes about an hour for appetizers?

I'm just kidding! Around 59 minutes, give or take. Tee hee!!!

Anyway, when we received an invite at the launch of BOON TONG KEE'S new branch at Tomas Morato, Quezon City, that piece of dissimilarity between me and my Yub became more evident. To think that we are faced with a tableful of platters of food which was even more delicious than the aroma it exhausted.

To say that the food in BOON TONG KEE was delicious is an understatement. My husband and I truly enjoyed our meal so much that midway he was already pushing his plate to surrender, while I was telling the dessert waitress that I was not yet finished with my food.

However, it felt like only minutes to us because of the great company and delicious food!

Hopefully, the kind people of BOON TONG KEE did not mind because we had such a good time that we closed the place down. Ha ha ha!

Oh well my husband looks like Mark Anthony Fernandez anyway...

(Yup enter irrelevant argument there... tee hee!)

BOON TONG KEE!!

BOON TONG KEE recently opened in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. The famed Singaporean franchise also has branches in SM Mall of Asia, Powerplant Mall, and Katipunan Quezon City!

We loved the simple interiors of BOON TONG KEE in the Tomas Morato branch. It had a lot of space and everything was just smart, casual, but had a touch of Asian beauty in every corner.

Specially this corner! It had a mini open kitchen with counter!

I think I would like to settle on this side the next time we eat there!

Before we started the "last wish" meal in BOON TONG KEE, owners Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Joy Rodriguez gave us a gracious welcome and told us about the food to come.

Look at me listening intently and being all inquisitive. Food does that to me. If I was still in High School and this lady was a teacher, I would be like "NGOOOOOORK" in an instant.

BELIEVE me. I still have nightmares that I am still in High School or College.

Anywho....

First on the table was a small plate of pickled vegetables to get our tummies ready.

We then had BOON TONG KEE's Crispy Beancurd (P185.00). I am not really a fan of tofu since it would sometimes smell stinky or rubbery to the bite but this one I liked! It was like the Krispy Kreme of tofu because once you bite into the fried crust, a very soft pillowy custard with the flavor of your neighborhood "taho" will greet HELLO!!

Dip it into the green tea mayo for an extra level of flavor. Oh yes. Mayo just makes everything better.

Up next was BOON TONG KEE's Prawn Toast (P275.00)!

I have tried other prawn toasts but BOON TONG KEE's version is the best for me. The prawns were just bunched up and compacted into that wee crunchy toast that one bite is extra seafood, every time!!! Don't forget the green tea mayo! It did add a certain zing to that already flavorful appetizer!!!

We were then served BOON TONG KEE's Poached Chinese Spinach with Assorted Eggs (P295.00).

This BOON TONG KEE soup was mild but when you slurp a spoonful of the broth with the cooked spinach and choice of egg (duck egg, century egg, ordinary egg), you will certainly be helping yourself to another one.

I loved that they served this extra piping hot that the scent of the cooked spinach with garlic just played with our hungry appetites! YUM!!!!

Hello little friends... I'll be eating you NOW.

Nothing personal. You just looked too darn good!

My husband was feeling the sniffles so he ordered the BOON TONG KEE calamansi juice. I wouldn't know how this tasted like because HE DID NOT offer me a single sip!

If you feel like coughing tomorrow Yub, it means I am thinking about you.

Thinking about wringing your neck! HA!

Kidding! I love you! Mwahhhh!!!!

Up next was BOON TONG KEE'S Braised Pork Belly with Bun (P325.00)!!!

Oh this was so good. Tell me that you do not feel like drooling with all that glistening beauty over there? You take one saucy slab of that pork fat and put it inside the newly steamed pork buns!

Hello pork buns!

Put the BOON TONG KEE meat inside like a sandwich!!!

... and eat it with mucho gusto!

I bet you will look MUCH better than me too!!!!

I know I said this already but I'll say it again.

Oh this was SO good. Imagine a very soft and meaty pork asado siopao.

THAT is what you'll get plus MORE.

When no one was looking, I double dipped!

Tee hee! Sorry!

We were then given a plateful of BOON TONG KEE's Fried Sambal KangKong with Cuttlefish (P295.00)!

This BOON TONG KEE dish was very rich  with the sambal sauce adding the right amount of kick!!! This just screams to be paired off with some rice.

And so we did.

Veni, vidi, vici!

It came, we saw, WE ATE SOME RICE!

(Kidding on the last part.... tee hee)

Of course, the night would not be complete if  we did not have  BOON TONG KEE's mucho specialty, their Signature Boiled Chicken (quarter P245.00/ half P455 / whole P845.00).

This great piece of poultry was so juicy and fork tender. If I was not with anyone else here, I would have sucked the bones of this chicken dry.

Sorry Chicken Little, the world will be ending for you TONIGHT.

EVIL LAUGH! Mwa ha ha ha ha ha!

The wonderful BOON TONG KEE chicken is customarily eaten with the 3 necessity of sauces (chili sauce, sweet soy sauce, and ginger oil), however, I found their Hainanese chicken already flavorful on its own. Still, you could elevate your enjoyment level up a notch by eating it with these 3 heaven sent dips!!!

Of course what is Hainanese Chicken without BOON TONG KEE's special rice to go with it?

I don't know if Johnny Midnight designed this cupful of hainanese rice but this triangle of grains sure tasted grrrreeat!!!

Now up next will be a typhoon of food! Similar to how Maring invaded the Philippines!!! They were all so DELICIOUS and MANY, that we are going to just faint from gluttony.

But we don't care... WE WILL BOON TONG KEE some more!

BOON TONG KEE's Cereal Prawns (large P655.00)

Nothing coated or oatmeal like in here. What you get are prawns with special twirls of "stringed" cereals!!!

BOON TONG KEE's Imperial Pork Ribs (P245.00)!

These sweet tender ribs were just AWESOME. One of my favorites of the night as well!!!

BOON TONG KEE's Baked Prawn with Cheese (P395.00) was truly satisfying and non cloying at all.

This oozing piece of heaven is perfect with the...

... spicy salty flavors of the BOON TONG KEE Sambal Fried Rice (P225.00)!!!

OR... you could have it with the fried buns!! It tastes divine EITHER way!

BOON TONG KEE's Crispy Roast Chicken (quarter P235.00/ half P425.00/ whole P755.00) was lipsmackingly YUM as well!

I loved how the salty but crispy skin crunches upon every bite! Another perfect match with the BOON TONG KEE Sambal fried rice!!!

BOON TONG KEE birthday noodles (P295.00) are how noodles should be....

..... very saucy with long flavorful noodles! US LIKEY!!!

Hello brown noodles!!! I'll see you when I turn 29!!! Tee hee!!!

BOON TONG KEE'S Coffee Pork Ribs (P295.00)! This very savory boneless ribs are perfect for those who like their meats sweet with a certain caramelized taste going on. I could just imagine licking my fingers with these stick babies!!!

My very handsome Yub eating at Flash's pace and was already on his 3rd serving of food!!!!

As for me, I was still admiring my BOON TONG KEE first plate...

... then I added my sambal fried rice...

... then I did a mini-selfie....

Our very full table at BOON TONG KEE! Isn't that like a last meal for us in Prison?

Prison Break! Oh Wentworth Miller... Why?????

Were you so traumatized that I chose MY chinese stalker over you????

We had such a wonderful time eating and gabbing with these fine set of ladies and gentlemen!!! We were so full beyond words and panting from all that BOON TONG KEE sweat! Whew!

Don't worry, we know what you're thinking and we did not include OURSELVES in that ladies and gentlemen bit.

Ha ha ha!

Dessert was this addicting cupful of  BOON TONG KEE Sagu Gula Melaka with Vanilla Cream (P145.00).

This was SO good I had 2 servings of this!!!
