IT'S ANOTHER GREAT YEAR WITH F1 HOTEL MANILA

THE YAPPY BUNCH were so excited that for the first weekend of 2018, we were invited to have a staycation with our favorite foodie family, the KTG. This was just so perfect because I was thinking of how to celebrate Mati's birthday weekend and a staycation at his favorite F1 HOTEL in BGC will just make him oh so happy.

Wow! See how 2018 is already working out well for us? I'm so sure that 2018 will be an awesome year. I claim it!

And I'm sure that with THE YAPPY BUNCH, the KAIN TULOG GANG in F1 HOTEL MANILA, our home in BGC, is an awesome way to celebrate this exciting year!

THE YAPPY BUNCH are with our foodie family, the Kain Tulog Gang (the KTG), to celebrate the Independence holiday weekend via a staycation at F1 HOTEL MANILA. The great thing about this insta-getaway was that we will be savoring their LUZVIMINDA specials that's available up to June 30, 2017!!! 

Not only that, we will also be experiencing a fun and relaxing family bonding weekend at the same time.

Now THAT'S a double WOHOO in my book!

It's the LUZVIMINDA celebration in F1 HOTEL!!!!

LUZVIMINDA is the 5th gastronomical series in F1 HOTEL MANILA highlighting Filipino cuisine. This may be in line with the Independence Day but this delicious event will go for the whole month of June.

And ERICJAZ FOODIES will be here the whole weekend to savor it with another super fun staycation with it!!!!!

You could already feel the holidays upon the F1 HOTEL MANILA entrance!

Yup! It's just Christmas everywhere!

This was already day 2 actually of our F1 HOTEL MANILA stay and after a full morning of eating and swimming, we're back in F CAFE AGAIN!

Christmas started early for THE YAPPY BUNCH as we received an invitation to experience the holidays in our home away home....

It was actually the eve of Bonifacio Day, but because of this family staycation, we got a head start on the Christmas season!!!

And yes, no need to say that we are sooooo excited!

KTG NEW YEAR PARTY AT F1 HOTEL MANILA

For me, one of the best ways to greet the New Year is by spending it with our foodie family -- THE KAIN TULOG GANG!

I mean, there is really no doubt that when you love food, you immediately surround yourself with people having the same obsession to make sure your year starts alright. That's sort of like "food shui" to greet 2016.

See what I did there? He he he he he!

Anyway, ERICJAZ FOODIES was actually invited to KTG's Christmas party in Edsa Shangrila. However, we were not able to attend because we were in Yub's hometown in Quezon Province. It was a good thing because since there were many absentees, our KTG bossman Spanky, kindly set up another one that also included our foodie kiddies.

The KTG NEW YEAR PARTY was then scheduled and our favorite F1 HOTEL MANILA generously accommodate us with a venue for that most definitely fun day.  And yes, like what we had predicted, it was another great event with my favorite foodie family: there was non-stop chatter, food was overflowing, and we had a NEW YEAR'S PARTY that is surely different from how others spent it.

You might say that it was an awesome KTG PARTY and everyone was so happy INSIDE and OUT. He he he he he!

Cheers to my foodie family! Here's to 365 days of spreading the good word on drool-worthy food and living the happy, crazy, and lazy life!!!!

It's 2016 and the KAIN TULOG GANG is getting bigger and bigger!

We were reserved at our second home, F1 HOTEL MANILA, and they gave us their Titanium Function room. The same place we had our crazy CHRISTMAS PARTY last year! 

AN F1 HOTEL MANILA CHRISTMAS 2015 (DAY TWO)

It's day two of THE YAPPY BUNCH's F1 HOTEL MANILA Christmas getaway. And even if we have already stayed here millions of times (well almost... he he he he he!), we still had loads of fun and got a different kind of bonding weekend! Of course, besides feeling the warmth of the holiday season, our enjoyment level got amped with the impeccable Filipino service that F1 HOTEL MANILA!

Yu-uh.... It almost made me do a Tiny Tim and shout "Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Okay fine. I'm 10 times heavier than Tiny Tim and I'm not THAT crazy to just shout out my feelings. But trust me, spending time with the special people in your lives during this holiday season is indeed enough to bring you over the moon.

And with F1 HOTEL MANILA, it just made it a MORE happy experience!

AN F1 HOTEL MANILA CHRISTMAS 2015 (DAY ONE)

You know how it is during the Christmas season:

Traffic.
Frantic shopping for the most practical gifts.
More traffic.
Joining the millions of people in malls to get the best sale items.
Christmas Parties or whatever parties.
Super Kaduper traffic.

The point is I'm sure the holidays are upon us and we should be feeling the Christmas spirit. But let's face it, the season is busier NOW compared to the days of yore when the cavemen only had to worry about not being the Christmas meal of some hungry dinosaur. And yes, we are all only human. As much as we are all giddy and excited for December 25, the holidays could take its toll on our utterly beautiful selves that sometimes we just need to take a short break from it all.

And THAT is where F1 HOTEL MANILA comes in.

Because what better way to recharge than by having a Christmas staycation at your "home of happy experiences", right?

It's summer time (wohoo!) and while we are all groaning from the intense heat, you may also want to make use of all that suffering to think about where your next family getogether is going to be. Now instead of spending gazillions of pesos planning an out-of-town or out-of-the country getaway, why not stay close to home?  With that, I strongly suggest you crop in F1 HOTEL MANILA in the picture.

Once again, we are in our "Home of the Happy Experiences" right in the heart of Fort, Bonifacio Global City -- F1 HOTEL MANILA! And the kids cannot get more ecstatic! They LOVE F1 HOTEL MANILA with a capital EL (tee hee)!! Now if you think we're going to have another usual staycation that you have seen before, you are so wrong!!! F1 HOTEL MANILA, as always, has something sizzling planned to make you BEAT THE SUMMER HEAT (sorry to say the cliche). 

And were glad to find out that even if THE YAPPY BUNCH had been regular guests of F1 HOTEL MANILA, we were still able to get not just happy but NEW experiences for our memory bank!!!

We were very excited for our F1 HOTEL MANILA staycation that we were up and early going to Fort. And wow... even if it was still sleeping time for us the sun was a-blazing already!

We went straight to the F1 HOTEL MANILA Premier Lounge to organize ourselves and to have a bit of snacks.

BARBECUE NIGHTS AT F1 HOTEL MANILA

For our F1 HOTEL MANILA staycation this summer (blog post coming soon) we had an awesome dinner under the stars at the CANARY LOUNGE!

Normally the CANARY LOUNGE is a pool-side cocktail area to have drinks and hang out. But that night, we were lucky to be spoiled by our favorite F1 HOTEL MANILA with a barbecue all to ourselves!

Barbecue nights are not really regularly offered in F1 HOTEL MANILA but you could set it up with their food and beverage department. It's a great alternative if you feel like having a romantic and gastronomical dinner under the stars.

That night though we had this big glowering moon over us. May not be camera friendly but I felt this gave us perfect lighting and ambience!

One of our family's favorite hotels has something new cooking up and the great thing is that YOU are invited to take a part in it. Yep! You!

Chef Eugene San Juan is now at the helm of F1 HOTEL MANILA as their new Executive Chef and he wants F CAFE diners to have a different kind of gastronomic experience that is definitely not offered in other buffets. YEP. You don't just EAT. You do something. Of course, you'll still get the delicious spread that F CAFE offers and eat to your heart's content. But with F1 HOTEL MANILA's new interactive dining experience, you'll get to learn and savor the delectable dishes that YOU prepared.

KTG CHRISTMAS PARTY (2014)

This holiday season, ERICJAZ FOODIES have been so blessed to be invited at what we feel is THE foodie Christmas event of the year.

The KTG Christmas party 2014!!!

Now this calls for one big "Ala Homer" WOHOO!!!!

You may remember our first KTG Christmas party where we were only about 20 gluttons and we pigged out on truffle lechon, wagyu burgers, etcetera etcetera.  For this year, everything (pwede ding everyone... tee hee) just got BIGGER... CRAZIER....

AND hungrier! Ha ha ha ha ha!

You could just imagine how wild it could get when you pack about 50 food fanatics with overflowing grub and drinks to stay in one big ballroom.

Insanity I'm sure.

But let me assure you, that our Christmas party that night was also about "food insanity" with a purpose.

Yup! And that is the beauty that is KTG!

For those still wondering what KTG means, behold!

Venue for the night was the Titanium Ballroom in F1 Hotel Manila!

Wow! Not too shabby!

We were supposed to stay in the Canary Lounge at the poolside but because of the unpredictable weather, the party was moved indoors.

Christmas may be all fun and "Fa la la la la la la la la la" but seriously, it could be one of the cruel holidays there is. Oooh yes! Diet all you want and have several hours running at the treadmill... when the holiday spread presents itself at you, you'll lose all  elements of reason and just surrender to the forces of food.

Yehesss... So cruel. 

That is exactly what happened after weeks and weeks of controlling my wild appetite. I thought I was already doing a great job and promised that I will really eat like a bird during our recent staycation at F1 HOTEL MANILA, when  HELLO! F CAFE was serving the Fiery and Frosty Christmas buffet!!!!

What?
Where?
When????

And just like that Christmas won once more and I was powerless over all the hot and glistening food served at us.

Truly... truly cruel!

ANOTHER FUN F1 HOTEL MANILA STAYCATION

There is nothing like family getaways, and the Yappy Bunch is now addicted to staycations! I'm sure you'd agree with me that it is so fun to go away for the weekend and bond over delicious food, swimming, and 24 hour air conditioning! Of course, there IS no place like home but sometimes there are hotel accommodations that fulfill the premise of a stay close to where your heart is.

And THAT has been our experience with F1 HOTEL MANILA every time!

We were so happy to receive again an invite for a weekend staycation in F1 HOTEL MANILA and we were doubly excited to learn we will be experiencing their FIERY AND FROSTY HOLIDAYS for 2014. Of course I'm so used to having a chilly Christmas but incorporating it with something "hot" is indeed new to me. But, whatever the place, event, or weather (tee hee) we will definitely have fun because THE YAPPY BUNCH will be spending it together.

With that, we packed up and got ready to go. The Chinese Adonis and I must have been very good this year because winter... este.. Christmas is coming! And it's delightfully early with F1 HOTEL MANILA!

Now let's go on to our staycation at the hotel which promises to be "The Home of Happy Experiences!"

The weather was really cloudy that morning but we didn't mind.

I LOVE BUFFETS!

I mean, who in his/her right mind would not? You get a long table of everything you ever wished for that will probably make your cellulite grow the size of Kanye West's ego and you could refill your plate again and again. 

Very stingy (read: kuripot) me loves buffets because if I compare the price of ordering the viands separately in other restaurants, it would probably cost more. PLUS, I would have that power to get MORE or LESS, depending on what my bulging tummy fancies. 

And as for the buffet at F CAFE in F1 HOTEL MANILA, I did not just LOVE it. I ULTRAELECTROMAGNETICPOP was ENCHANTED by the long stretch of food that would definitely satisfy any bulging or protruding tummy there is.

And get this, we were not just served ANY ordinary buffet. What F CAFE laid out for us was their special Christmas buffet which the public will get a taste of on the holidays. 

Believe me, one bite of their Filipino Christmas ham, Organic Cebu Lechon, and Juicy Stuffed Turkey will get you Fa-la-la-la-la-ing all night long until the next breakfast buffet. The best thing here is that since the price is so affordable, you know you could have a taste of your favorite Christmas treats whenever you want it. No need to wait for Noche Buena! Yohoo!

It is definitely an early Christmas gift with the delicious food at F CAFE! It is so good, you might even forget what you wished from Santa! At least, you could be naughty all year long and still have a scrumptious night at F CAFE! Ho ho ho!

ERICJAZ FOODIES was already having a wonderful staycation at F1 HOTEL MANILA (See our DAY ONE) and we were excited to have our first meal at the hotel at F CAFE! 

My little lords Mati and Andrei were so amused at the twirly wirly red sofas which greeted us going into F CAFE.  I'm sure they took note to play with it after our meal. As for me, I wanted to try it out for a long siesta (that's how comfortable it seem) BUT I'm sure they will be alerting hotel security in no time. He he he he! 

The Executive Chef of F CAFE by the way, was none other than THE Chef Sau Del Rosario! What I loved about his menu for the F CAFE buffet was that it highlighted our Filipino cuisine but added special twists. You surely won't miss home if you spend your weekend staycation/meal at 

F1 HOTEL MANILA/F CAFE! 

F1 HOTEL MANILA STAYCATION (DAY TWO)

It's the second day of our wonderful F1 HOTEL MANILA STAYCATION and yes, yes, as much as I want to sleep in since it is a Sunday and all, I don't want to waste another fun-filled day for the little lords.

Before I blow my horn to wake up the little rugrats, check out our exciting first day at F1 HOTEL MANILA by going HERE!!

While my little lords were sleeping soundly like little kittens in F1 HOTEL MANILA.... 

... my husband was looking out at our spectacular view and daydreaming about the usual guys stuffs (like having a private jet or an 8-pack abs OR being married to ME... he he he he!)

F1 HOTEL MANILA STAYCATION (Day one)

As much as I love going on out of town trips with the boytoy and my rugrats (read: my husband and... well... the rugrats) whenever my guy says that we will be having a getaway I would let out a tiny groan only dogs could hear.

Don't get me wrong. I L.O.V.E going out on weekend vacations and bond furthermore with my 3 guys (read: try not to wring their necks) but days away from home would only mean one thing for me.

PACKING.

I don't know how to put it. Maybe I love packing too much that I could have about 3 bags just for meself (and that is only for an overnight stay) so imagine how much I WILL love it as I pack for the 2 boys.

That's a balikbayan box waiting to happen.

When we received an opportunity to have the weekend at the first hotel ever in the Fort at F1 HOTEL MANILA, I was again ecstatic and already calculating what I will be bringing for the family. I already lashed out my usual PACKING LIST (yes I have one) that was good for 2 days.

This time however, my husband set his foot down, banging splat on my N' Sync cd on the floor (:P) and said I do not need to pack oh so many since we will just be having a staycation within the confines of the Metro.

I was frustrated "How could they have what we would ALWAYS need??" already taking out the scented aromatic candle which I would always bring (yup it's true).

My husband would not hear any of it and just assured me that yes, based on what he heard, F1 HOTEL MANILA has whatever people on vacation would fancy be it a businessman on a trip or a crazy family like ours.

"Besides..." He added "We are so near. If you ever forget anything, then I'll just get it from home."

I raised my eyebrows at him to surrender, mentally noting that if I were mean I could leave something behind intentionally (like the monopoly game board?) to test him of his promise.

Fortunately though there was no need for that since TEAM YAP truly had the weekend of their lives.

And yes. That was within the Metro.

And yes. That was just with ONLY 3 bags.

Mati and Andrei : YEY! We're going to a hotel!

Even though the weather did not agree with us, we were still beyond excited at what was in store for TEAM YAP in F1 HOTEL MANILA. 

We were all scheduled to meet up at 10:00am and since we were just nearby, no need to wake up 4 hours beforehand, like what we were used to if the we were going to, say, in Tagaytay. 

We all stayed up late on a Friday night (playing Monopoly and all) then woke up at 8:30pm for a quick breakfast.

And finally we see it, F1 HOTEL MANILA!

Everyone in the car, yes my husband included, let out screams of excitement.

For him though, it made him a little girly.... Ha ha ha ha! Kidding!
