I must say that the Chinese Adonis and I are already getting addicted to going out with my TAPE INC friends that when Tita Florie asked if we wanted to try out MORITA, I said "GAME" without even thinking what it was.

It's a good thing she did not mean if I was interested in going out with a guy named MORITA (tee hee) but instead, she was referring to a Japanese restaurant that had DI's (Dance Instructors) and ballroom dancing.

No it's fun!!! Tita Flory insisted. So even if I initially had concerns that I'd look like this groovy lola shaking her "pwit" while her long pearl necklace swayed along, I said yes. Besides, there's no harm in trying out something new. The big point here anyways is going out with my dear workmates whom I already consider as family on a Friday night. I'm sure wherever we go, it's still going to be fun.

And yes, with the "help" of MORITA, it certainly was a night to remember.

BUGSY'S SPORTS BAR AND BISTRO

Whenever I go out with my College friends, it is sure to be a riot -- there is always non-stop laughter, gossip, jokes and ribbing, then never-ending trips down crazy lane.

So we had another night just like THAT when mareng Carrots was in town and we decided to have a meet-up during the work week. Everything was fine and dandy until being the usual finicky girls that we were, there were sudden changes in the venue: For one week it was somewhere, then the day before it became somewhere else, on the day itself it became "Now where should we go?"

Good thing that after a bit of walking (IT'S TRUE) my College friends came upon BUGSY'S BAR AND BISTRO where they had available tables that night to take in our group. The place was so perfect for us that it's a wonder why BUGSY'S was not our first choice! The food was great, service was friendly, and the crowds did not mind the decibels of noise that we were making. We finally found our place to settle our big butts in.

And what an awesome time we all had!

Like I said, the place was packed, mostly in the smokers and the bar area. Yup! Even if it was a weekday!!! It's a good thing that my friends were still able to secure a table.

I'm always looking forward to couples date with my TAPE Inc officemates/family that when Mr. Maru Sotto invited us to CHEF AND BREWER CAFE AND RESTAURANT 2 weeks in advance, I really blocked it off in my calendar.

My TAPE Inc. friends can't believe it but the Chinese Adonis and I really love being with them because not only do we learn a lot from their advises, but they are just so fun to be with. They are all super funny, crazy, and "kalog", but with a heart. They totally get my weirdness!!!! He he he he he!!! So even if I haven't been to CHEF AND BREWER, I just know that we are going to have another unforgettable night.

And as predicted, we certainly did!!!!!!!

We went there on a Friday night and we're so thankful that there was no traffic that weekend.

We arrived at about 8:00pm and there were still many available tables. I guess we were early!

IT'S MILLER TIME (FINALLY!)

ERICJAZ FOODIES was recently invited to the hottest "it" place in Metro Manila for the launch of this much awaited party drink -- MILLER GENUINE DRAFT!

To be honest, I am really much a party girl. I go more for get-togethers with friends/family that promises plenty of food and loads of conversation in a quiet "noise-free" room. HOWEVER, it is so different with the Chinese Adonis. Let's just say that he may be all quiet and gentlemanly on the outside but inside, there's a frat boy just waiting to explode and roar!

So naturally, the Chinese Adonis was quite excited to attend the launch of MILLER'S GENUINE DRAFT. He knew that tonight, he will get to see and be seen with Manila's coolest who will come together to have a first taste of MILLER DRAFT.

And I'm sure with a taste of this golden ice cold drink, you will agree that for a good time, in MILLER we trust! One chug and you'll know that the night is ALWAYS far from over.

If you are looking for hip and cool people to be friends with, you may want to cross out ERICJAZ FOODIES in your "probable" list. Heck, you could even put our names waaaaay down below the page number of your notebook! Our workmates, friends, and yes even our family would agree that when the god of cool spread this gift on mankind, the Chinese Adonis and I where somewhere watching Meteor Garden. He he he he he!

So when we received an invite to have our Tuesday night at 71 GRAMERCY, we both felt a feeling of excitement and panic: Excitement because we haven't been to this "IT" place and we were RARING to see why it's so hot right now. And panic because well, we might be our usual silly and pathetic selves that diners might think of throwing us from the 71st floor.

Hey... 71 Gramercy has 71 floors??? Such a coincidence!!!

Now THAT'S how cool we are.

Kidding! He he he he he!

Anywho, we were relieved to learn that we were there not to be cool or to party with Manila's socialites. We were actually there to try out the newest dishes cooked up by celebrity chef Mr. Carlo Miguel. And looking at the mouth watering food that this handsome chef has created that caused the numerous raves online --  now wouldn't want to be a part of THAT?

Isn't it great how food brings all types of people together?

Oh and don't worry. Our "uncool-ness" have deeply penetrated itself in us that it won't rub off on you. He he he he he!

KTG CHRISTMAS PARTY (2014)

This holiday season, ERICJAZ FOODIES have been so blessed to be invited at what we feel is THE foodie Christmas event of the year.

The KTG Christmas party 2014!!!

Now this calls for one big "Ala Homer" WOHOO!!!!

You may remember our first KTG Christmas party where we were only about 20 gluttons and we pigged out on truffle lechon, wagyu burgers, etcetera etcetera.  For this year, everything (pwede ding everyone... tee hee) just got BIGGER... CRAZIER....

AND hungrier! Ha ha ha ha ha!

You could just imagine how wild it could get when you pack about 50 food fanatics with overflowing grub and drinks to stay in one big ballroom.

Insanity I'm sure.

But let me assure you, that our Christmas party that night was also about "food insanity" with a purpose.

Yup! And that is the beauty that is KTG!

KTG CHRISTMAS PARTY 2014.

For those still wondering what KTG means, behold!

Venue for the night was the Titanium Ballroom in F1 Hotel Manila!

Wow! Not too shabby!

We were supposed to stay in the Canary Lounge at the poolside but because of the unpredictable weather, the party was moved indoors.

DEAR SPANKY'S BIRTHDAY ( A KTG SURPRISE!)

One of the highlights in the "life" of ERICJAZ FOODIES is being part of the KTG (Kain Tulog Gang) because finally, we met people who love food as much as we do and would also document it any way they can.

"Before somebody reacts, of course, my family and friends still top my list but I cannot tell you how many times I got the "Enough already!" when I take pictures of them! Pero naman when they see themselves in the blog, kilig na kilig! Che! Ha ha ha ha!"

Anyway, the person responsible for forming this "Foodie Family" is Mr. Spanky Enriquez... The Chairman... Our Pitboss...  THE Bossman!

So pogi!

Now many times I'm sure you saw me refer to him as "Dear Spanky". Hold on to your knickers, I'm not about to replace the Chinese Adonis.... yet (Bwa ha ha ah ah!). But at the start (and he doesn't know this), I did so to show respect to a person I regarded so high in social media (I was scared of him honestly at first!!!) that instead of referring to him as SIR Spanky (which he detested, violently!), I tweaked it up a bit and regularly called him DEAR (it's pretty close actually, especially if you have a hard tongue... he he he he he!). So from them on it was Dear Spanky this... Dear Spanky that. If you see my thought bubble, you would THINK I was also doing the "We're not worthy"action. NAKS! But of course, as time went on, I mentally dropped the DEAR as a stand-in for SIR and it really became what it stood for... calling somebody who is very DEAR to us.

I discovered that dear Spanky is REALLY a very cool guy and nothing to be scared about! He is actually the only person who believed in my blog (yes, the Chinese Adonis is NOT included) and would make me feel good about it at times when I doubted its silliness.

And believe me, with the way he is taking care of us in KTG, he deserves all the love that he is getting right now. I'm sure the others will agree that we owe him a lot. With that, it's no wonder why his group of hungry and lazy bloggers came together to surprise him on his special day. It was really the least that we could do to honor our King of the "Rawr" and our GODFATHER.

Dear Sir SPANKY! We love you to the farthest of Milky Way and back. Maybe that's why you'll always be somebody from another galaxy in our eyes!

Last Saturday, the Chinese Adonis and I were invited to try out the newest resto bar in Bonifacio Global City. It may mean moving our usual Saturday movie date night to Friday, but it's always fun meeting up with my foodie family so we were excited to go. Plus, it has been almost a month going on for my exercise program so I guess it's high time to reward myself with delicious food!

In life, there would be days wherein you should just sit back, relax and sip on a hot mug of coffee. Sometimes though you would encounter some glitches either at work or with your personal life that it requires a long chug of beer. Then, there would be nights where in everything was so awesome that a beer won't just cut it and you yearn for something else.

And in comes RASTRO with their new specialty Cocktails and delicious food to go along with it.
