MR. SUNMOON (2019)

My brother celebrated his birthday recently.

And when it comes to birthdays in our household, you know the drill.

WE EAT!!!!!!!

MR. SUNMOON!!!!!!

MR. SUNMOON was formerly SUN MOON GARDEN and it's where my family always had birthday celebrations when the celebrant is craving for some Chinese food.

As in bata pa kaming lahat! There was even a time when my Dad treated his sisters from the US here then when the food came, nag-agawan and naghabulan kaming magkakapatid (it was so embarrassing for him. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!).

Their restaurant used to be in Greenhills Shoppesville but then they transferred to Club Filipino Avenue. And that's where we went to that Sunday when my brother was in the mood for our usual comfort food.

THE CHINESE ADONIS' 41ST BDAY CELEBRATIONS

My husband is the "anything goes" type of guy who doesn't need much to be happy. He doesn't complain, he never objects, he never expects -- he's always just game for anything.

That's why when it came to his birthday celebrations, I didn't need to scratch my big forehead too hard.-- he's happy with whatever. Kahit nga maglagay lang ako ng isang candle sa cupcake on his actual day, masaya na siya.

Pero who would want to do that for a very loving husband and father right? Just because somebody is fine with anything, you won't leave it at that. An important person is worth MORE!!!

Even if he did not celebrate his birthday much while growing up and got used to it, we still want to make him happy and feel special as he turns 41. Of course the celebrations were not as extravagant nor outrageous as our gimmicks like last year, but we still put in A for "eyfort"!! I guess we all did a good job because the birthday boy had fun.

In the end, that's what really matters!

(Belated) Happy Birthday Chinese Adonis!

Tanda mo na! Yuck!!!! May-December affair galore!!!!

MR. SUNMOON SEAFOOD HOUSE (MY 2015 BIRTHDAY)

After THE YAPPY BUNCH's weekend staycation at HYATT, CITY OF DREAMS, we drove over to San Juan to meet with my family as I will be giving them a birthday treat. There was really no other place we had in mind than MR. SUN MOON (formerly SUN MOON GARDEN) because it has been and always be my family's favorite when it comes to Chinese food. My siblings and I practically grew up there because we celebrated all our special occasions over hot bowls of lomi and sizzling saucy grub.

So for my special 40th lunch, since we were running late, I told my sister to go ahead and order what they liked. I guess they took my "advise" deep into their hearts and stomachs because they really ordered EVERYTHING that they have been craving for in MR. SUN MOON even if we have all "old age" tummy capacity. He he he he he he!

Not to worry though because if there's take home leftover food that we don't mind having the next day, it's MR. SUN MOON dishes. Every spoonful is indeed a trip down our family memory lane. And now, my 40th birthday celebrations will be a part of it!

I know, I know, that your eyes (and brain) are already be fed up with my 40th bday yaddah yaddah, but this is the last I promise.

Until of course, the Chinese Adonis' birthday celebrations which is coming right up! Tee Hee!!!

MR. SUNMOON SEAFOOD HOUSE!

MR. SUNMOON is located in front of Wagyu Stone House grill in Greenhills shopping centre and is beside a gas station.

The restaurant has a limited space and with several tables. Good thing that I haven't slapped butts with other diners when it is a full house.

NOT that I mind if it's WWF Champion Roman Reigns. Har de har har!

MY 40TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS!

EGAD it finally happened.

I turned 40!

Confusing right? I know, I know, that I don't look a day over 20 years old but that's the truth. And if many do not believe it, I would still have to face that I....

... am older than Annie in WHEN HARRY MET SALLY.

... am older than Rachel in FRIENDS.

.... am older than the 4 geezers in SEX AND THE CITY.

... am older than Maria in THE SOUND OF MUSIC!!!!!!

Egad I'm old!

Anywho, the best thing with my age though is that now I am surrounded with more people whom I love and vise versa (I think/hope) than when I was younger. Believe me that I had so much fun with my two week (and more) birthday gimmicks that I almost had a heart attack plus bout of rheumatism!

Kidding aside, I know I may have put off making this blog entry for quite sometime because there were just too many to post and write about. And of course I'm sure you know that this old lady is quite lazy! But reviewing the pictures and reminiscing on the laughter, food, and love at turning a year older just made me feel so overwhelmed with all the blessings that I would (many times) take for granted.

Like I said many times during my two week (and more) birthday celebrations, turning 40 is not so bad after all if your days are filled with eating, smiling, hugging, and LOVING.

Of course, it doesn't hurt too if you got the best family and friends to do it with!

I AM NOW OLDER THAN SHARON IN THOSE SHARON-GABBY MOVIES would you believe??????

Sorry I can't move on.

:P

Presenting my birthday celebrations!!!!

For my first BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION, I asked my BP Group for an out of town staycation in Tagaytay City.

The drive may not be so long but there was already a bit of traffic.  Good thing my husband downloaded MAP FACTOR and it was able to show us some detours to avoid the jams.

Do try it out! It's free and you could use it without internet!

When we have an out of town drive, I always stay at the back with little Andrei. We kept ourselves occupied by watching some DOWNTON ABBEY! My favorite at that time!

While watching, we snacked on some biscuits plus ice cold juice and chocolait!

And we're here in Tagaytay!

The first meal to kick off my early birthday weekend was in BAG OF BEANS!

Whenever you're in Tagaytay, you should always make a pit stop here for their delicious food and take home pastries!

MR. SUNMOON SEAFOOD HOUSE

Last weekend, we went out for Sunday lunch to celebrate Yub's birthday. While there were a lot of restaurants sprouting out and about in the Greenhills shopping area, we decided to celebrate my husband's special day where we have been enjoying Chinese food for the past 30 years....

MR. SUNMOON SEAFOOD HOUSE!

MR. SUNMOON used to be SUN MOON GARDEN and it was located for many years in Shoppesville area.

Presently it is located near Club Filipino and became more casual for its hungry diners.
