When I had my week long birthday celebration earlier this year, OUTBACK PHILIPPINES was so kind to invite THE YAPPY BUNCH to treat us out for dinner. The timing was so perfect too because we were having a wonderful staycation at HYATT, CITY OF DREAMS and the OUTBACK branch we were planning to go to was so near to us!
Talk about food fate! We were so meant to have tender and juicy steaks that weekend.
And we all have OUTBACK BLUE BAY WALK to thank for!
Plus my Mom and Dad since there wouldn't be a birthday treat if they didn't "create" me. Tee hee!
We went to OUTBACK'S newest branch in the Philippines located in Blue Bay Walk!
There's an outdoor seating area for those who want to smoke and/or enjoy the cool Manila breeze.
However, I'm more of an air-conditioning sort of girl so we asked for a table inside.
I appreciated the abundance of space in OUTBACK BLUE BAY WALK plus the brightly colored walls. It certainly did not feel cramped inside even if most of the tables are occupied. The whole vibe may even border on jolly!
Mati and Me!
The Chinese Adonis and Andrei!
Ms. Abby Escher, OUTBACK PHILIPPINES' Managing Partner, was already there and she really made sure that we have a gastronomic night ahead.
No need to order! We were instantly given tall glasses of iced tea to cool us off before we start the meal!
Our cutie pie waiter was the culprit behind this. He was fast, alert, and was really ahead of us in what we needed.
Time to order!

Yes! Let's eat! The little lords are hungry!
Warm crusty bread was immediately served with whipped cream-like butter.
Andrei proceeded to serve everyone fat chunks of bread slathered with the creamy butter.
Yey thanks Andrei!
We ordered one of our favorites from OUTBACK -- the Typhoon Bloom (P399.00)!
This would be your instant favorite too once you get a bite into that crunchy onion rings that have been deep fried and flavored with their savory seasonings!
Kiddies normally hate onions but the OUTBACK'S Typhoon Bloom would get them reaching out for a handful of these tasty babies!
As much as we were tempted to over order (evil grin), we just had kiddie plates for Andrei. My youngest had the OUTBACK Chicken fingers (P259.00) which came with fries and a serving of soda or juice.
The chicken fingers were served fresh off the fryer and it smelled amazing!
It was so hot that little Andrei concentrated on the french fries first. He he he he he!
While the boys were eating their kiddie meals and appetizers, we noticed that their attention was not in the conversation no matter how much we talk to them.
Even if I asked them to smile for the camera, their eyes would still go over me.
So we discovered that the "culprit" was a television set showing cartoons at the corner of the room.
So with that, we asked the waitress to change channels into something they wouldn't like.
Let's say... golf?
Poor Mati and Andrei....
BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
Judge us all you want but we want everyone's attention during dinner time. No gadgets, no phones, no TV! Just pure conversation in between munches!
Take THAT "Adventure Time"!
NOW, BACK TO THE FOOD!
I had the OUTBACK New York Strip (P1,299.00) as it was strongly recommended by our server.
He declared that this was their most flavorful steak available that I immediately got curious.
I'm glad that I followed our servers recommendation because my strip was quite tasty. It was truly a meat-lover's manna!
In between mouthfuls of the tender and super delicious steak, I would also help myself to forkfuls of OUTBACK'S baked potatoes topped with a generous dollop of sour cream.
Sour cream is now one of my new favorite toppings on everything! Why is it that I have only discovered it now???
Nom... Nom... Nom!
Yub was in the mood for some surf and turn so he ordered the OUTBACK Sirloin and Grilled Shrimp (P1,149.00) that he was also planning to share with master Mati.
The shrimps were not as big as we hoped it would be but it was certainly dusted with all the right flavorings. I took a bite and immediately craved for some rice.
The steak was char-grilled just the way we liked it and was perfectly pink on the inside.
The Chinese Adonis was quite happy with his OUTBACK steak. Normally he would have it well done (que horror I know) but I have finally convinced him the benefits of having it cooked medium rare, medium, or medium well (depending on the quality of the meat). He said each bite was so "tenderiffic!".
As Mati will be sharing with us, he just ordered a plate of OUTBACK Rice Pilaf (P79.00)!
Yum! Our table filled with food!
ERICJAZ FOODIES with the little lords in OUTBACK BLUE BAY WALK!
In a few seconds, this is "our messy table". Ha ha ha ha ha!
The last few bites of my steak....
And we're done!!!
Oh we're SO taking home that Typhoon Bloom!
Later on, the OUTBACK servers came up and sang a very Happy Birthday to me!
Oh yes! A little TOO happy! He he he he!
Awww! I love it!
Thank you SO much OUTBACK BLUE BAY WALK!
But wait. I'm sorry, but I have to be honest here...
There you go. Now THAT'S perfect!
Andrei immediately followed suit and got the chocolate syrup with his fingers.
I told him to go for it. It's my birthday anyway. There are NO rules!
He happily scooped the chocolate syrup until...
Somebody put icing on his nose!
It was his Kuya!!!
It was all good for Andrei. In fact he found it so funny!
He even tried to lick it off!
Or to just leave it.
Finally, he decided to scoop it away. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
My birthday dessert was so nummy yummy! Brownies topped with whipped cream and ice cream is actually my favorite!!!
Especially with a hot cup of coffee!
Burp! That was so good!
Such a delicious birthday dinner serving my most favorite meal of all!!!
Thank you to Ms. Escher for accommodating us and of course, to Ms. Meg Fernandez of OUTBACK PHILIPPINES for inviting ERICJAZ FOODIES!!!!
Another happy birthday celebration for me!
