TONGYANG SHABU SHABU EXPRESS

Once upon a time before the pandemic...

My little family are such fans of Shabu Shabu that we cannot stay away from it for a long time. Fried Chicken, Pizza, Burgers, etc etc are fine when we're out but there's something deeply comforting about slurping on boiling hot soup, devouring the chewy noodles, and crunchy vegetables, then dipping it all on my spicy and "umami" filled sauce. We just gotta have it at least once a month in our mundane lives!

One night while the Yub and I were doing groceries, we came upon TONGYANG SHABU SHABU EXPRESS. We have already been to their mothership TONGYANG buffet many years before but since we're watching our diets and our wallets, the "express version" would be perfect!

And we were right. TONGYANG SHABU SHABU EXPRESS was just what we needed.  I think we'll be here A HUNDRED TIMES more.

(That's what you think... ha ha ha ha-- Jaz from the future)

GANSO SHABUWAY AND AVENGER'S ENDGAME AGAIN

I guess it's fairly obvious how my boys and I are such super hero addicts. That's why after watching AVENGER'S ENDGAME, we wanted to watch it again and again.

One weekend, my big guy and I thought that it's high time for our AVENGER'S ENDGAME part two. My Master Mati pointed out that it could be our pre-Mother's Day date already.

Awwwww... That's my Mati! He's a man with a plan!!!!!

With that, I asked him what he wanted for dinner. He wanted to know what I craved first but I countered how making him happy makes me happy already. He then thought long and hard and chose a restaurant where we recently enjoyed that the Yub was not in a hurry to eat in. We both looked at each other and said in unison --

GANSO SHABUWAY!!!

He he he he!

Yihiii.... It's date night for us!!!!!

HEALTHY SHABU SHABU WITH MY FAVORITE COUSINS

It's my peyborit cousin's last night before they head back to Las Vegas, and we are saying goodbye the best way we know how....

By eating at the FIRST restaurant our family treated them to at the first official day of their vacation!

Yup! We're sentimental like that. He he he he he he he!

HEALTHY SHABU SHABU!

As usual it's the big and center table for us!

GLORIA MARIS DELI AND RESTAURANT

It was my Mom's birthday and as usual my family will be celebrating with dinner. The choice for that night was in HEALTHY SHABU SHABU in Powerplant Mall, my family's new favorite, and I already made advance reservations two days before. Even if THE YAPPY BUNCH would eat regularly in HEALTHY SHABU SHABU, since it's our long time favorite too, we always look forward to having another meal there.  Of course, the anticipation is much more on my Mom's birthday because not only is it a special celebration, it's FREE as well!

HAR DE HAR HAR!

Well, the foodie gods must have sensed my hungry plan that with some stroke of bad luck, my husband got so stuck in traffic going to my office. By the time he arrived TAPE INC, my family was already plucking out the vanquished food with toothpicks. Auuughhhhhh!!!!! I doubt if they could still wait for us if we're coming from Quezon City going to Makati!!!!!

My SHABU SHABU freebie plan, FOILED AGAIN!

Dishearted that we were not able to make it to my Mom's birthday dinner and hungry from missing our favorite Shabu Shabu, we headed for home with heavy hearts. As we were maneuvering our way thru the Monday traffic, we saw what could be our foodie savior/substitute for the night...

MY 41ST BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

I often see many quotes in Facebook how "Growing up sucks" or that "Becoming an adult is the worst mistake anyone could make". I mean yes, I do miss the fast metabolism, the energy, and the total lack of responsibility in the world, but really, GROWING UP IS FUN!

Yep! And if you FEEL old, then it's your fault!

I know I often make jokes about how I'm a decade younger. But the REAL reason I do that is because I love making people laugh and it's just hysterical seeing the expressions of those in the receiving end of the joke.  If you get to know the Jazzle Dazzle (aka ME), you'll discover how much I love hearing the guffaws of happy people (even at my expense).

SO! The truth of the matter is, I EMBRACE being 41! I have accepted that becoming older is part of the deal of my existence. I may give in to an occasional rant or two when the hormones of the month kick in, but I have accepted the mortality of my royal cuteness. I have just turned 41 this 2016 and I am proud of it!

But do I FEEL 41?? HELL NO.

I don't really know if it's a good thing or a bad thing but I don't feel like I'm ever growing up. Up to now I'm still crazy and I never stop making jokes. I thought when I was little, by the time I reach 41, I would become this lady-like Mommy who would speak softly and bake pies everyday. Instead, I'm this weird Mommy (boys said so) who would make voices and I do prank calls! The only thing true is that yes, I do bake pies. But not everyday.

The great thing about being 41 is, NOW I have my own money to spend, NOW I'm in my dream job, NOW I get to chat with my favorites Tito, Vic, and Joey, NOW I know how to put on make-up, NOW I still have my family (and some of the bossy ones have moved out of our house... tee hee), NOW I only surround myself with great friends, NOW I'm not afraid of boys, NOW I don't care about what people think, NOW I'm not a Star Wars geek (for some reason it's fashionable now compared to when I was ogling over Luke when I was in grade school), NOW I don't have to attend school and study for exams, NOW I don't have a curfew, NOW I don't care about what people think of me, NOW I could make all the weird, green, corny jokes that I want, NOW I could tell if a person is lying or not, NOW I have bigger boobs (from fat),

AND the "bestest" of them all...

NOW I have my little lords, AND NOW, I have a boyfriend / husband / driver (sweet lover) / bodyguard for life!

See? Isn't being 41 grand???  And honestly, if you ask me, I don't think I have fully grown up yet. Although, one of my wishes when I was a kid was that when I grow up, I want to be very happy.

And, even with all the imperfections that life could sometimes give, I could say that I am still happy.

So with that, what else do I want when I grow up?

I'll just think about it when I'm near it.

:)

Oh! Oh! It would never hurt to have bigger boobs and a smaller forehead though.

Tee heee!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!

My 2016 BIRTHDAY kicked off with BGP Marian and Manong Fred! They treated us to ITALIANNIS (my choice of restaurant) for my "birthday salubong".

We always love going out with our best friends because we ALWAYS have the best of times!

MATI'S 2016 BIRTHDAY!!!

It's Master Mati's birthday and like how we do it every year, it's going to be a blast!

We started it off with a surprise song for the birthday celebrant at the strike of 12:00am. While Mati and the Chinese Adonis were watching television, Andrei and I sneaked upstairs to do a simple set up.

My little apprentice was very excited too. If I'm not mistaken, he seems to be more "alive" now compared to his birthday eve surprise. He he he he he he!

And when it was already 12:00am, we called the birthday boy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATI!

FOUR SEASONS HOTPOT AND BUFFET

There's more reason to rejoice for hotpot lovers out there!

FOUR SEASONS BUFFET AND HOTPOT has opened another branch in Manhattan Parkview, Araneta Center, Cubao!! So that means we could slurp and gobble all that delicious soupy goodness in this side of the metro!

More reasons to celebrate!
More reasons to pig out!
More reasons to break that useless diet!

That's what the Chinese Adonis and I did when we tried out the newly opened FOUR SEASONS BUFFET AND HOTPOT in Quezon City. We were SUPPOSED to watch our food intake during weekdays but when we received the invite to have dinner at a restaurant from the Niu and Vikings family, we were there!

Diet shmiet! I'm sure my 25 inch waistline wouldn't mind indulging a little bit.

Oh and when I get this excited about food, I get delusional too!!!!

:P

FOUR SEASONS BUFFET AND HOTPOT!

The sosy sounding Manhattan Parkview branch of FOUR SEASONS HOTPOT AND BUFFET just opened it's doors last October 3, 2015. It's stamped proudly by VIKINGS, a name synonymous to affordable buffets at a hotel like setting!

MATI'S 2-WEEK 11th BIRTHDAY (2015)

Early this January, my master Mati turned 11 years old. And, like we do every year, we had a fun 2-week birthday celebration for him! Some may find it too much (my family definitely does ha ha ha ha!) but all that matters is how our little celebrant is having the time of his life when he turns a year older.

Usually what we do is ask Mati to write in his journal what restaurants and places he wanted to go to for his birthday celebrations. We then do all that we can to go to all of those "Mati wishes" with whoever is available to join us! Also included in that 2 week period is non-stop play of PSP and Minecraft without the usual "write in your journal requirement" that I have for them (provided also that it is not a school day). Of course, THAT is enough cause for Mati to be deliriously happy for his birthday. He he he he!

And like last year, THE YAPPY BUNCH had a very fun 2 week birthday for Mati! I'm sure the little celebrant agrees because he was groaning on the last day and wishing it could be extended for another week.  It may be the only whiney sound that is actually music to ERICJAZ FOODIES' ears!

We'll see what we can do for next year dear Mati but for now, Mommy and Daddy will cherish all the joy and happiness that you have given us. So thank YOU really. Besides being thankful to the Lord everyday that he has blessed us with your awesomeness, this two-week birthday celebration is also our way of giving thanks to YOU our loving son and brother to naughty Andrei.....

Thank YOU for making us deliriously happy for the past 11 years!!! We love you so much master Mati!

HAPPY 11TH birthday Master Mati!!!!

VIKINGS (SM JAZZ)

We were still groaning from the TONS of food that we ate over the holidays that even if we swore to go on a strict "water only" diet, we broke all promises when we discovered there was a new VIKINGS branch in SM JAZZ.

The restaurant that somehow revolutionized buffet dining in the Philippines just blasted its "beingness" in this quiet SM branch in Makati last December 19, 2014. And, even if we were already dragging ourselves from the extra pounds we accumulated during our Christmas vacation plus the fact that we were just in VIKINGS SM Marikina last Wednesday, we were so determined to EAT there AGAIN. And we cannot be more excited about it!!

Yup! That's us! While we were listing our New Year's resolutions, we forgot to cross out GLUTTONY. It was something we decided to reserve for the NEXT New Year. He he he he he! So, here we are! Ready to EAT LIKE VIKINGS!

YEHESSS!!!

Our venue for today.... SM JAZZ!

Hmmm... that name sounds BEAUTIFULLY familiar.

And here's something to rejoice about! Yep! VIKINGS just opened their 6th branch here in SM JAZZ MALL.

I wonder how it would fare up compared to the other buffet battallion?

HEALTHY SHABU SHABU (AGAIN)

When I put the title "HEALTHY SHABU SHABU (AGAIN)" it doesn't mean that it's only our second time in this restaurant. Oh dear me that is so far from it! To say that HEALTHY SHABU SHABU is our favorite place to eat in as a family is surely an understatement. Inangkupo! We must have started eating here when Mati was still a baby and we have been ultra regular customers ever since. There was even a time when we would eat here twice in a week or even every Sunday. Yes! EVERY SUNDAY. In fact,  take me to any HEALTHY SHABU SHABU branch and surely I would know some of the servers there. We are actually regulars in the Podium and Powerplant Mall branch that when the waiters get transferred to another area, we would be "Hello! What are you doing here??" Yes we have somehow come to love them as family because some of them saw my boys growing up! REALLY!

So one Sunday family date, I asked the little lords where they wanted to eat and the instant answer was HEALTHY SHABU SHABU! As much as I wanted to go to another restaurant with them I relented because when we go to this long time favorite, we are assured that both of the boys will be eating with gusto (yup I really meant YOU, Andrei). Plus! We've been such regular customers in the Power Plant Mall branch that the boys feel like they're meeting up with old friends!!

Yes! We love it so much at HEALTHY SHABU SHABU! It's our ultimate favorite YAP family restaurant! We have actually used our discount card there more than we do our credit cards! Ha ha ha ha!

HEALTHY SHABU SHABU!

Could you see Andrei staring at the fountains?

TONG YANG (AGAIN)

I am so proud to say that my first born is fast becoming to be someone like me!

Now before you all get hysterical and claim "mass hysteria with dogs and cats living together", don't worry he's NOT becoming EXACTLY like me. But he IS following in my love for food and finding/making up reasons to have it. Yep! My dear Mati now has a variety of food favorites that would even surpass the taste of his picky Father's. At the same time he likes getting sentimental and would also create some new family "traditions" in order for us to have a reason to EAT!

This new family "tradition" that Mati whipped up has something to do with his deep love for school (tee hee). I'm not sure though if Don Bosco is the only school whose last day of quarterly exams would fall on a Saturday. But since it does, my Mati thought that every time it is the last day of his grueling periodicals, we would fetch him and celebrate afterwards. Yup! This has caught on fast for me and the Chinese Adonis because even if we're supposedly scheduled to meet up with friends for lunch on a Saturday, we cancelled it because of our "Mati Tradition".

Now there's no arguing about the importance of THAT.

At the end of Mati's exams, he asked if he could play basketball first before we head out for lunch. So we brought his basketball gear and he changed his school uniform.

We then proceeded to their school gym where the Chinese Adonis and Mati will be shooting some hoops.

Hold on. The last thing I want is SOMEBODY doing that favorite pose of Paris Hilton.

Now THAT'S better.

I'm happy for my husband that his sons shared with him the same love for basketball.

I'm sure he would agree with me that playing against his friends is nothing compared to the joy he feels doing basketball with the little lords.

He's just torn between letting them win and doing his usual "varsity" game of course. He he he he he!

After playing basketball, Mati tore off his sweaty jersey and got ready for lunch. We remembered that for the end of Mati's 2nd quarterly exams, our little lord wished to eat at TONG YANG since he read my blog where we treated his Tita Gem and Tito Jun for dinner.

TONG YANG SHABU SHABU AND BARBECUE RESTAURANT

One Friday night, the Chinese Adonis and I met up with NFFAFF (New Found Fogi And Fretty Friends) Gem and Jojie to celebrate the latter's birthday. They were also treating our BP Group (won't tell what it means... ha ha ha ha!) on another weekend so I thought that as thanks, the Yub and I would have an earlier birthday treat to this generous couple.

The choice of Gem that night was TONG YANG SHABU SHABU AND BARBECUE RESTAURANT in Promenade, Greenhills and since I haven't tried their buffet yet, I happily agreed! The Chinese Adonis and I absolutely love Shabu Shabu and for the option to eat THAT all-we-can is enough to make us feel birthday celebrants as well!

Yup! Food does that to us! It's ALWAYS our ticket to cloud 9!

Besides the other thing of course. That is, if we have any!

Bwa ha ha ha!

TONG YANG SHABU SHABU AND BARBECUE RESTAURANT!

It's in the new wing of Promenade in Greenhills!

A SHABU SHABU WELCOME DINNER!

After our California vacation, we headed back to Las Vegas in a hurry not because we will be going to another casino or that we were missing my cousins.

We were so excited for a SHABU SHABU dinner!

Yep! Sorry. Ha ha ha ha! We love food too much that we have forgotten any form of human affection. Instead, we just focused on what's waiting for us at the end of the sin city's "rainbow" and that is, piping hot bowls of SHABU SHABU.

Yum! I'm sure you'd know by now that SHABU SHABU is indeed our favorite!  To THINK that we just came from Days Inn Hotel for a heavy breakfast and Arby's for our late lunch. Yes it may seem gluttony that we are rushing somewhere just for a taste of our delicious food but we don't care -- we are willing to shed what's left of human decency just to get a sip of that heavily flavored broth, crunchy vegetables, tender seafood, and chewy noodles.

I'm sure you'd agree with me once you see the spread that my cousin prepared for us. You might even purposely forget that you have a wife/husband just so you'd get the first bowl.

I'm sure that's what my husband did. And even son.

I lead such a sorry life......

Kidding! He he he he he!

Familiar landmarks that remind us we were near LAS VEGAS!

When we got to Las Vegas, my cousin Kuya Nap was so busy preparing the ingredients for his special SHABU SHABU dinner.

My cousin is not really a chef but like us, he LOVED to eat. It's always a great day when he cooks because he is such a whiz in the kitchen!

OUR VALENTINE'S 2014

Every year, one of my most anticipated celebration is Valentine's Day but in our family, we call it VALENTIMES! Judge me all you want but I love being cheesy and using up all the cliches on this day of hearts. You know the couple that you would like to hate on this day? Yup! Yup! That would be us: We wear red... I get the flowers... We have a very corny dinner. But in the end, it is always VERY fun for us! And that's what matters.

It is also this day that my little family and I have whipped out another tradition to our list (yes..... yes... another one!): Instead of just having a Valentime's with my husband, I also have a date night each with my boys. It was last year that Mati promised that he will take me out every Valentimes and give me P150.00 always. Hopefully when they grow up to be tall gentlemen, they would still treat out their little fat mommy for a one on one dinner and possibly give me a red rose or two.

For this year though, almost everything went wrong and did not go as expected. But still, if there is something that I have learned in life especially with my silly little foodie blog, the restaurant may be dingy or crappy but the night will still be fun if we are with the people we love.

But then again...

When your date is snoozing on you... you know that the night will be an unforgettable one. Ha ha ha ha!

Poor little Andrei just came from a field trip on February 13, but did not want to cancel out on our VALENTIMES date! He was so excited and talked about a lot of things of what happened to his day but then after I ordered, he closed his eyes and snoozed.

Ain't he still cute though?

After our very quiet dinner, he woke up and was energized at my promise of letting him play at Kidzville. Oh well... Once again, I paid for dinner and my date got his way.

Good thing he is a very cute date!

HUAT POT

I don't know if there is a weird weather phenomenon or everybody's wishes came true for Christmas but the Philippines has been extra nippy chilly these days. It became so cold that I HAD to wear a jacket almost everyday and there was even a morning where I turned off all the electric fans because I was already shivering up to my little wee toes!

Now when it is cold, what is the best thing to do besides, ahem, cuddling cuddling up with your equally cold significant other?

Well you could slurp some hot soup of course!

And there is a new SHABU SHABU restaurant to give you just THAT (plus a lot more) at the San Juan side of the metro.

HUAT POT restaurant!

It gets even better -- HUAT POT restaurant is ALL you can eat!!

And for P688.00++ per person, believe me. IT'S WORTH IT.

Read on to find out why!

HUAT POT is all about space and passionate colors!

LAU CHAN SHABU SHABU

These days, I'm getting so lazy at everything that it is so pathetic. Blame it on me and my husband's new found addiction (pun sort of intended) to BREAKING BAD.

Yo! That's a television series, B@#*H!!!

grabbed from the net YO!

Ha ha ha ha! I don't know if it's age or what but now, a perfect night for me is going home early for a night of BREAKING BAD.  Of course this is one activity we will NEVER involve the kids in that as a result Mati and Andrei were wondering why sleeping time became so early. TEE HEE! Little do they know that Mommy and Daddy are already curled up on the sofa and watching Jesse do something stupid while Mr. White comes to the rescue. Oh yes. No chores for us. WE ARE SOOO BAD.

Oh I'm kidding!

Or am I?

So you could just imagine how DEEELICIOUS LAU CHAN is.

Now, you may say that the sentence above may be the most epic (OR pathetic) of segues but do understand that LAU CHAN is still in the galaxy far far away of Malate, Manila while we are sitting lazily in our comfort zone of Mandaluyong. And did I not make myself clear how it is next to impossible to tear ourselves away from the sofa once BREAKING BAD is on?

And believe me, my convincing words to my husband so he could treat us there was "Yub! LAU CHAN is SOOOO sarap that I'll forego BREAKING BAD on a Saturday just to go there!"

Yup. That's ERICJAZ FOODIES. Only food so good will get our lazy selves out and about. Ha ha ha ha!

LAU CHAN!!!

GANSO SHABUWAY (Part deux)

As much as I love going out with friends, workmates, or even husband (he he he he!), NOTHING beats lunch or dinner with one of my sons.

I remember that we started this tradition like 2 years ago when I got the idea to have a DATE NIGHT with either Mati or Andrei. Of course we are still going to make night outs with TEAM YAP a priority but I love spending quality one on one time with the boys as I find that they behave differently when the other little lord is not there. Plus, I get a certain thrill taking them to the restaurants me and my Yub go to on our dates and act all "grown-uppy" with them.

It is so fun! If you have kids, try it out. Believe me, it would definitely be a night for you to remember.

I guess the same could be said for the kids because when I ask Mati when is the happiest day of his life, he would often say it was when we had our first "Mommy and Mati date night".

And you know what? It IS true that the love and care you show your kids really goes back to you. We now have this new tradition that on Valentine's week, besides going out with my husband, I will also  go out on a date with Mati one night, then Andrei on another night.

And just the previous week, Mati declared that when he grows up he will also take me out on Valentimes (that's what we call it) and give me P150.00.

:)

Like I said, Kiddie Date Nights are the best!

Except for the part that I have to pay for dinner since it is usually my husband who foots the bill. He he he he he!

Oh well... At least I have P150.00!

GANSO SHABUWAY!

One TEAM YAP Sunday outing, my husband and I decided to each have a "DATE NIGHT" with our sons in Powerplant Mall.

While Yub and Andrei went to Pepper Lunch, I asked Mati where he wanted to go and he said GANSO SHABU WAY!

GANSO SHABUWAY

If you are one very unfortunate being who is close to TEAM YAP (oh poor poor you!) you would know that we just absolutely LOVE shabu shabu... Especially Healthy Shabu Shabu (see our meal there HERE!!!)

As much as we love that restaurant, we would like to try out other SHABU SHABU hubs. Besides having to eat there almost EVERY week (I kid you not), I only get to eat the leftover vegetables because the kids usually wipe out all the meats and I find it too much to order another set just for me. So yes, eating at a different SHABU SHABU restaurant is a welcome change for me because at least I would be able to eat something and not just a cupful of taiwan pechay!

However, the 2 little lords "condemned" us to only eat at that restaurant FOREVER and would raise quite a ruckus worse than the Tasmanian devil on a warpath should we eat at SHABU SHABU without them.
So on one particular date night, we escaped from  the kids' cuisine claws and decided to go SHABU SHABU but this time for the more adult palate with GANSO SHABUWAY. They don't have the usual squid balls and dipping sauces which Mati and Andrei are so used to... It was as if GANSO SHABUWAY was created with just me and Yub in mind without the rugrats for date night! he he he he!

It was such a good and liberating experience... HOWEVER... i do miss the old one (maybe it has something to do with the absence of the 2 little lords). Still, GANSO SHABUWAY is a good eat if you're looking for something beefy and want to try out something different on Shabu Shabu date night!

Plus it would really be great to eat at someplace where I get to nibble on something more than leftover taiwan pechay! He he he!

GANSO SHABUWAY!

Yub, who is such a finicky eater, was somehow concerned with the 2 broths (traditional seaweed broth or the spicy miso broth) offered by GANSO SHABUWAY. He was particularly suspicious with the one with chili.

Personally I prefer the spicy miso broth of GANSO SHABUWAY since it has a bit of flavor than the other one. Plus, I love everything hot!

THAT'S why I love looking at MYSELF in the mirror.

Tee hee!

Did I just make you block me for life????

Anywho, I was particularly excited to eat at GANSO SHABUWAY because I will be able to eat everything that we cooked. PLUS, they have a different variety of vegetables and sauces that we are used to!

I think this is the first time I did not miss the kids.

Oh I'm sorry, WHAT KIDS?

Kidding! Tee hee!

YUM!!!

We ordered the GANSO SHABUWAY Meyer Natural Angus for us to share and it came with White Rice and Vegetable Plate A (Napa Cabbage, Spinach, Carrot, Enoki Mushrooms, and Tofu).

I read in a blog before that it was FORBIDDEN to share set meals in GANSO SHABUWAY and you would be charged P250 should you decide to commit this foodie sin in the resto.

Good thing that GANSO SHABUWAY came to their senses and considered that not all men eat like Homer Simpson.

Some may smell like him and look like the person in front of me but that is beside the point!

Kidding!

Check me out so serious at GANSO SHABUWAY

You can't tell that I was doing the Irish dance step routine of RIVERDANCE under the table huh??

I proceeded to flavor my GANSHO SHABUWAY ponzu sauce with some leeks and kimchi radish!

Then added a big dose of crushed garlic to my GANSO SHABUWAY sesame sauce...

HA! Yub is NOT going to get lucky tonight!

.... or will I be the unlucky one?

"Should we stay... or Should we say GOODBYE"
(My Husband's Lover - Theme Song)

Har de har har!

Here's our wonderful thin slices of GANSO SHABUWAY angus meyer beef!!! Ain't it just a purty purty sight?

I am doing this post at August so I cannot really remember why I looked so serious while cooking my GANSO SHABUWAY dinner!

I thought of 3 possible reasons:

1) My husband and I are on LQ (lover's quarrel) that night...
2) I was slated to pay for dinner...
3) My legs were tired from doing the riverdance...
4) I was not able to receive my latest poster of N' SYNC from Ebay...
5)  I wanted to go home early to watch VICE GANDA!

OH I am SOOOO kidding!

Especially on the 5th one. The thought of it just makes me want to bang my head on a hard place to get the image out of my pink brain!

Oh look! My pimple is about to go down already!

Maybe that is why! I guess I have separation anxiety from GIGI the PIMPLE which graced my face since December!!! 2 months!! WOW! That's a long time to have a GINORMOUS pimple! Hence the name, "GIGI!".

Check out the height of GIGI's fun at our meal in  SEOUL GARDEN HOT POT (HERE !!!)

Going back to our GANSO SHABUWAY dinner...

LET'S EAT!

We decided to dip our GANSO SHABUWAY meats in the traditional seaweed broth for more taste!

My delicious GANSO SHABUWAY bowl! This really warmed my tummy!

Of course, my GANSO SHABUWAY meal is not complete without rice!

Adding more greens to my GANSO SHABUWAY ponzu sauce!

I guess the Chinese stalker took a back seat from his usual "modelling" duties for ERICJAZ FOODIES and took my pictures instead since this would be a momentous event for me. FINALLY getting to eat my fare share of a SHABU SHABU set. HALLELUJAH!

Seriously of course, I missed the 2 boys terribly while we enjoyed our meal at GANSO SHABUWAY since it was quite sacrilegious to eat anything "soupy" without them. But still, this was a welcome experience for us as I truly enjoyed boiling the fatty meats and dipping it in the flavorful sesame sauce loaded with garlic. I take in a chopstickful of rice then chug it down with some ice cold coke zero.

Aaaah... that was GO-OOD.

Mati and Andrei who?

Kidding! Kidding! :)

He he he!

LET'S EAT!
