A SUPERCHAMPZ AND IHOP SUNDAY!!!!

Have you seen those ads in Facebook by SUPERCHAMPZ where free seminars are conducted to help your child become more passionate about studying? I did, and I thought, what the heck, we should try it! The little lords loved playing more than doing their homework (as any child would) so it would really be a big help if I get more tips on how to get them to be more serious about school.

The seminar was free and it was only for about 2 hours. I'm sure there's a catch in the end (because nothing is really free these days) but I figured that if it is something that my little lords could learn from, then it's worth our time.

So off we went to SUPERCHAMPZ for our family Sundate!!!!

NEW ENTREES FROM IHOP!!!!

ERICJAZ FOODIES was recently invited to try out the new meals from the INTERNATIONAL HOUSE OF PANCAKES (IHOP) and we were beyond excited!

I remember that when IHOP first opened in BGC the lines were just unimaginable. The people who endured the long wait (ourselves included) were combinations of those who had tried their food from the US and those who just wanted to taste what the fuss was about. Too bad that those who really set up such over-the-top expectations on IHOP was disappointed. As for ERICJAZ FOODIES,  honestly, we still enjoyed it!

Sure, it tasted different from what we are used to here in Manila (because of the different ingredients)...

Sure, the servings may be smaller compared to the US (for pricing purposes)...

Sure, some of the dishes of the dishes from the US may not be available (either they prioritized more on the Filipino favorites OR, ingredients that were ordered from the US haven't arrived yet. They don't use substitutes!!!!)...

YUP! BUT WE STILL ENJOYED IT!

Because really, you shouldn't hype yourselves up just for the heck of it. IHOP has been serving hot platters of breakfast and main entrees for over 57 years so I'm sure they know what they are doing. And if you just set aside comparisons and expectations, you will also find something to enjoy in IHOP.

YEAH! Like what we always do! That's why we have fun in everything!

And in IHOP, they have new dishes in the menu to give you more reasons to come back for a visit. That's why with their ever growing list of foods to try out, I'm sure you'll find again something to enjoy too!

HAPPY IHOP EATING!!!!

And we're back in IHOP! But this time, we're in Araneta Center!

IHOP Araneta Center is the second brand of the franchise to open in the Philippines. Soon there will be a total of 8 branches in Manila of this American favorite!!!!

IHOP (International House of Pancakes - Part Trois) NEW GRUBS

If we were to ask you if you were going to improve anything in your life, what would it be?

Don't worry, I won't go smart alecky ala Jesse Eisenberg on you. We are just being little old cats who will never learn new tricks and just continue on being curious.

If you were to ask my husband Eric, being the typical guy that he is (yum), he wants to be taller (even if he is already 5'11) and have a body similar to THOR (Y.U.M. with matching faint).

If you were to ask me, my wish is simple. I just want to have a smaller forehead. Yes, this part of my head is so big and wide, it is a wonder I don't attract airplanes to land on this biographic runway that I have. Once, I dreamt of doing a Calvin and just draw lines using a permanent marker. I remember in College I would always avoid electric fans because I don't want my pre-arranged bangs to blow it's "cover".

Egad. Now I bet you'll stare and try to measure how big a galaxy my forehead is.

Anyway, my silly point here is that, even if I think my husband is already built to my liking or that my forehead was not really noticeable until I blurted out loud that it could sink the titanic, we will always find things/ways to improve something that was already coined as acceptable or even perfect by other people (though I doubt if that could be applied to my big head).

Most of the time, we are already happy with what our favorite restaurant has to offer then lo and behold, they would introduce new items in the menu that will temp you from crossing over your usual favorites.

With that, I find it hard to believe how IHOP (International House of Pancakes) still managed to introduce new items in their menu when we, their regular customers, were already happy with our "usuals".

(Check out our meal there by clicking IHOP PART ONE and IHOP PART DEUX).

I guess, like my husbands physical built and my "airport", IHOP would never settle and continuously dream or whip up their magic to satisfy the conscious and subconscious cravings of their diners.

Oh well at least anything is possible for IHOP and my husband.

If I were to consider having implants on the front side of my head, then the same goes for me.

Tee hee!

IHOP!!!

ERICJAZ FOODIES was invited to try out the new specials from IHOP!

Like I said, we were regular customers of this American franchise  and we were excited to gobble up the nouveau selection in their menu.

I'm sure you don't need pictures to know how crazy the lines could get in this restaurant!

Full night! Good thing we already got seats at IHOP!!!

Well we are some of those "crazies" who would line and just suck it out being the 34th in the list.

And this cockle doodle dee is just rarin to try this:

IHOP's new Hand Crafted GRIDDLE MELTS!

Nothing instant about these new bites on the IHOP block -- everything you see here are hand crafted and made to order sandwiches!!!

The great thing about these "fully equipped" IHOP sandwiches is that they are also very practical on your pocket -- a full sandwich with all the trimmings (your choice of hash browns or seasoned fries) is available for P385.00  while a half order is P325.00!

Yub already set his eyes on IHOP's Ham and Egg Melt which had gooey swiss cheese and omelette!!! He took a long whiff on the bread and was delighted that they used a special artisan sourdough bread!!!

(I held up this IHOP sandwich to own it. He he he! I touched it, it's mine!

Unless, you want to get some Jazzie Cooties! Tee hee!)

As for me, I got curious with IHOP's Spinach, Roasted Pepper, and Cheese Melt!

This IHOP hearty sandwich was packed with sauteed fresh spinach on egg with roasted peppers and onions. In it, you could find not just one but three different cheeses (provolone, parmesan, and pepper jack)!!!

Imagine taking a big bite of that.... YUMMMM... I know!

YUP! I touched it again! So it is MINE.

The last IHOP Griddle Melt which drew raves from the other bloggers was the Western Melt!

This robust griddle melt has smoked ham, sauteed onions, with ham, and american cheese!!!

If that won't get you Yiiihaaawing, I don't know what then.

My forehead maybe?

Kidding!

IHOP now offers us lovely diners this new dining option which will definitely perk and chirp up anyone who could chew and swallow.

IHOP's Super Rooty Tooty Fresh and Tooty!!!

And just in case you need a more detailed description of this new AHA moment in IHOP's menu...

Imagine...

IHOP cinnamon apple compote pancakes....

OR...

IHOP cool strawberry pancakes....

OR

IHOP warm blueberry pancakes....

matched with....

IHOP Breakfast combinations:

Super Rooty Tooty -  2 Eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 2 sausage links, and Hash Browns (P395.00)
Regular Rooty Tooty - 2 Eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 2 sausage links (P345.00)
Warm Rooty Tooty Pancakes - Your choice of 2 Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity Pancakes (P245.00)

Dear Spanky : "HALLELUJAH!!!!"

And now we start eatin' at IHOP!!!

Oh please don't look at my forehead!

My plate! My wonderful IHOP plate!

My drink for the night! IHOP's hot chocolate (P145.00)! So creamy and hearty in every sip!!!

As for Yub, he got himself IHOP's bottomless Splashberry (P175.00)! He downed about 5 glasses of these!!!

I also had IHOP coffee along with my hot chocolate because I am just greedy that way.

Happy eater!

IHOP (International House of Pancakes - Part Deux)

I love breakfast... and I am confident to declare that, breakfast loves me!

I would never in my life, even dare, wake up and not have the meal that COULD have eggs... WOULD have garlic rice or pancakes... and SHOULD have coffee. It would just be... wrong....

At the same time, I am positive that the breakfast gods love me back because there is now an abundance of restaurants which offers this marvelous meal not just in the morning, but at WHATEVER time!

And one of the heavenly hubs that offers this great morning grub is IHOP (International House of Pancakes). This international franchise made quite a rave at its launch in the country that almost millions of hungry diners would patiently line up to get a taste of it.

My husband and I have already endured their lines and enjoyed the great pancakes of IHOP (see our meal there, HERE!!!! ) before. This time, we brought the little masters so that we could all bask in the wonderful meal that would jumpstart our family day Sundate to a great one.

Of course, a meal that loves you would do that for sure :)

IHOP !! Wohoo!!!

I immediately ordered an IHOP Splashberry (P175.00) and was glad to discover it was BOTTOMLESS (my favorite word besides ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT). After a few sips I felt like my tummy inflating like a michelin tire (being a carbonated drink and all) but my Yub gladly yanked it away from me and owned it. ha ha ha ha ha!

TEAM YAP got great seats! Probably because my little masters are SO darn cute! (Tee hee!)

Such a great view at IHOP!

(I'm talking about my boys... kidding!)

I don't know what is up with IHOP after a few months in operation because now they don't have the blueberry and pecan syrup pitcherS ready at the table. Either you have to get it by request or they ran out of stock. Instead they replaced it with a small bottle of Tabasco....

... Maybe somebody sneaky (like me) took all the pitchers home....

KIDDING! :)

As if this face could do that.

You could stop gagging now.

My ultimo favorite at IHOP, their New York Strawberry Cheesecake Pancake (P285.00 ala carte, add P50.00 to a meal).

Many diners would usually and proudly declare that "the one in the STATES has bigger servings" but the kindly IHOP manager exclaimed they adjusted it to make prices lower for the Pinoy crowd. (The US counterpart of this dish has 3 stacks of yummy pancakes) :)

I'm not complaining... Our appetites are not as ginormous anyway :)

I decided to try something else and went with IHOP's Bacon Temptation Omelette (P285.00). I requested to have the tomatoes on the side because the kids are starting to follow suit and detest veggies.

Although... technically speaking... Tomatoes are fruits. He he he! But I'm sure they won't care. Ha ha ha! Oh well!

Ahhhh.... such a great meal to start our Family Sundate! Thanks IHOP!

The IHOP Bacon Temptation Omelette was just okay for me and nothing to go lady gaga about. I would have preferred the cheese to be more runny or creamy and the bacon to be crispier. But that's just my personal preference.

If ever I rule the world someday, THAT will be MY second order.

The first would be "KNEEL BEFORE ZOD... este Jazmin pala!" He he he he!

Still, it was not ALL bad. I was able to finish this IHOP omelette!

My little masters ordered IHOP's Breakfast Sampler (P395.00) which consisted of all things juicy and crunchy! It also comes with a 2 stack plate of pancakes!

We would also order an extra cup of Garlic Rice and this would be a great meal for two!!

The ever doting Daddy that he is, Yub asked Mati what syrup he preferred for his IHOP buttermilk pancakes.

...or maybe he was saying "Mati you could only get 1 tablespoonful of this because I'm going to chug this down like water."

Eeeew... Kidding :)

My happy little Master Mati!

You would know if it was Yub who cut up his pancakes if it was done "pizza" style :)

My husband did the same thing with our pancake breakfast in MALCOLM's (Check it out HERE )

He he he! Mark Anthony Fernandez look-a-like...

Or am I just THAT hungry???

My little Master Andrei was his usual "tantrummy" self. I forgot what he was demanding for this morning.

But he decided to lighten up later on after having a bite or two from his IHOP pancakes!

LET'S EAT!

One IHOP pancake down... another one to go.... in mah belleeeh!

My husband took over my IHOP Splashberry and asked for extra rice. He wanted it to be "below zero" cold. Ha ha ha ha!

My little Andrei started to daydream later on....

While my little Master suddenly decided to be angry like the hulk because he wanted to order the IHOP make your own pancakes! ha ha ha!

They always take turns in having tantrums.

Oh well... there's another excuse for us to have our next Family Sundate breakfast at IHOP.

It's a great thing I love IHOP...

and possibly, because of the food and bottomless coffee, IHOP loves me!

Wheee!

LET'S EAT!
