Once upon a time before the pandemic...
If you're close with my hub, you'd know that he's one of the most simplest man ever and it doesn't take much to make him happy. He's really not for grand celebrations and as long as we're together eating his favorite grub, he'll be super happy.
For his birthday this year, he really didn't want to make a fuss anymore because of that growing pandemic. Still, we thought that we cannot let his birthday pass without giving him even a tiny celebration and we promised to be ultra-careful.
When pushed he said he would like to have some (surprise, surprise) Chinese food. He remembered the last time we went out with Team Godoy how much we enjoyed the food in MANN HANN and asked if we could go there.
OF COURSE! His wish was our command!
We're extra happy too because we LOVED MANN HANN!
Yipee!!!!
MANN HANN!!!
There was still quite a number of diners that night in MANN HANN and good thing that we're able to get a table asap.
I think you would already see here some hints of social distancing among diners.
ROLL CALL!!!!!!!!
(And by the way, we were all wearing masks. The Yub just wanted to have a picture with it.)
The bunsoy Andrei and Master Mati!
Me and the boithday boy!!!!!!!!
Before, the Yub and I would just order and share it with the kids. Now that they're older, we're including them in the choosing and ordering process. Syempre we would also want them to enjoy what we have on the table.
Ordering up!!!!!
The way the Yub put his mask down kinda peeves me because it would loosen up the garter. BUT, I guess that's just fussy old me.
Even now that they're older, I'm thankful how the boys aim to please me. They would usually race who'll get to serve tea or make the dipping sauce mixture.
BRACE YOURSELVES...
FOOD IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!
First on the table is Andrei's request, MANN HANN Hakaw (P170.00)!
He he he... The boys already got one each before I could take a picture.
The Hakaw here was freshly steamed and had the right amount of shrimps with no extenders. Sarap!
When we ate with Team Godoy last week, we really liked the MANN HANN Fried Squid (P385.00)
The squid was fried to a crisp but the meat was still tender and juicy. It may be a weird combination but it went to well with that salted fish sauce. You would REALLY look for rice afterwards. Ha ha ha ha ha!
Since we're celebrating Yub's birthday, we cannot NOT have his favorite Lechon Kawali. Here in MANN HANN, he opted for the Lutong Lechon Macau (P395.00)!
Grabe! Even if it was his birthday, agawan kami sa balat!!!!!!!! HA HA HA HA! Matira ang gutom. He he he he he!
MANN HANN Sweet and Sour Pork (P380.00) -- a Chinese restaurant staple. He he he he!
And since we should always have veggies in our meals, we also got the MANN HANN Eggplant with Minced Pork (P295.00)!
The oyster sauce that smothered that lightly fried eggplant went so well with everything on the table.
Of course, you cannot have Chinese food without their fried rice. And we all savored the MANN HANN Yang Chow (P395.00) because each spoonful had that jampacked egg and meat flavors!
ERICJAZ FOODIES with the little lords in MANN HANN!
Before attacking the food, Andrei led us all in prayer and gave thanks for all of the blessings. He also offered a prayer for his Daddy!
LET'S EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DONE!!!
BURP!
LE BILL!!!!
I think this was my treat. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
After dinner, we passed by MACAO for some dessert. Since it's just me and the Master Mati initially craving for it, we ordered for us all na (the Yub just gave us money). Ha ha ha ha ha!
The perfect ending to a wonderful night.
Besides singing to the Yub when we got home I mean. He he he he he he!
We love you, you big PANGET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for making a great choice for your simple birthday dinner. Ha ha ha ha ha ha! We also enjoyed it. YAY!
SO.
