HOUSE OF WAGYU STONE GRILL FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY

It's ERICJAZ FOODIES' 13th year of being married (blech) and we are going to celebrate with the only way we know how...

Wait. Let me correct myself, it's not the "ONLY" way we know how of course. We know that there are OTHER ways to celebrate. IF you know what I mean (wink wink!)

(Cue in Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On").

Yep. There's a party in Yub's pants, and I'M invited!

BWA HA HA HA HA HA! Cheap joke. I know.

Anyway, going back to all things PG. Yes, an ERICJAZ FOODIES anniversary would NEVER be complete without celebrating it with food. And for this special day, we went for one of our favorites...

HOUSE OF WAGYU STONE GRILL!

Wait a minute. Why does this branch call itself HOME OF WAGYU STONE GRILL?

I wonder if it's the same as the one in Podium and Eastwood? Because you know what they say, a HOUSE IS NOT A HOME??

Tee hee! Sorry. It's really asking for it.

When we got inside, we were attracted with the mounds of meat chilling in their fridge.

We were also greeted with the awards received by HOUSE OF WAGYU!

Of course, the one that counts for me is the one that has the KAIN TULOG GANG approval. He he he he he he!

It was a late dinner for us but HOUSE OF WAGYU STONE GRILL still had many guests that night.

Drinks anyone?

Hmmmm.....

The Chinese Adonis made reservations so as to make sure that we will have a lovely table for our Anniversary dinner.

Time to order!

Check out the intensity of my concentration much to the amusement of our server.

CHE!

I guess the waiter was not the only one amused.

CHE ULIT!

One of my utmost favorites in HOUSE OF WAGYU STONE GRILL (besides their steaks of course) is their complimentary baguettes that's served hot and fresh from the oven.

Believe you me, I cannot get enough of it! The baguette is crusty on the outside then perfectly warm and slightly chewy on the inside. It also has that earthy flavor that I savor in my breads. Spread on a generous slather of the butter and you'll immediately be in heaven this early on at dinner!

I'm not kidding when I say that the Chinese Dimpol and I loved their breads so much that we asked for a second basket! He he he he he he!

The Chinese Dimpol and I will just be sharing a steak but HOUSE OF WAGYU STONE GRILL still gave each of us a serving of their delicious soup!

For that night, we got their Potato and Split Pea soup which was creamy and so appetizing.

HOUSE OF WAGYU's soup was rich yet it was not cloying. This was so nummy yum with their crusty bread!!!!

The soup was so good that my date totally ignored me!!!

CHE!!!!

It's okay. The set we ordered came with Caesar's Salad. Since the Chinese Dimpol hated vegetables, I will TOTALLY ignore him using THIS.

Har de har har!

To add to our appetizers, the Chinese Dimpol and I ordered the HOUSE OF WAGYU Gambas Ajillo (P300.00).

We may have only had a small serving of the shrimps but each bite was just packed with garlic and butter flavors. I loved this!!!

Again, this was SO perfect with the HOUSE OF WAGYU bread (ha ha ha ha ha ha!).

Okay if we're going to take a break from the bread, you could opt for garlic rice or buttered linguini with this. Such a winner!!!!

And finally, the piece de resistance arrives!

The HOUSE OF WAGYU bib!

Kidding! Ha ha ha ha ha! When the servers assist you to tie up your bibs, you'll know that the steak is coming in shortly.

You've got to admit that I look better with the House of Wagyu Stone Grill bib right?

The Chinese Dimpol didn't want to take a picture of me. :(

Yey! It finally arrives!

Wagyu Top Sirloin Grade 8!!!!

We are SO excited to dig into this!

The Chinese Dimpol was SO raring to eat that he only showed 1 dimple!

Again, even if we shared the Wagyu Top Sirloin Grade 8, the waiters were very kind in giving us 2 servings of their side dishes. I got the mashed potatoes while the Yub asked for garlic rice!

The Grade 8 Wagyu was thick and sizzling on the hot stone.

The scent of grilling meat was just glorious. It instantly made me drool VERY HARD (if that's possible).

I like my meats medium rare so after a quick slice of the knife, I laid my chunks of Wagyu on my side plate.

In the meantime, MY hunk of meat is deep is concentration.

MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!!!!!!

ERICJAZ FOODIES in HOUSE OF WAGYU STONE GRILL!

Aaaah! So deliciously grilled and pink in the center!

You don't really need any sauce or gravy to enjoy your Wagyu.

It is already SO flavorful that a small dash of sea salt is more than enough!!!

Of course, my Wagyu steak was SOOOO delicious that I asked for some rice from the Yubhub too!!!

DOUBLE CARBO LOADING!!!!!

Since the stone slab was still hot, the Chinese Dimpol thought of putting the shrimps there to heat it up.

Guess what I used to mop up all the oils and juice from the plates?

Ding! Ding! Ding! You got it! THE BREAD!

Egad. Me so full already. I may have gobbled up a lot of bread but that steak was HEAVY.

Delicious AND heavy.

For dessert, we had some Creme Brulee!

The Creme Brulee had caramelized sugar that formed a nice crust. It was always a treat to tap it with your dessert spoon to break it.

The Creme Brulee was creamy and so smooth. It was like a light serving of my favorite Leche Flan.

Of course, dinner should always end with a hot cup of coffee!

Really. I can't function without it! Ha ha ha ha!

HOUSE OF WAGYU STONE GRILL even gave us a sweet Anniversary greeting!

Awwww!!!!!

Thanks HOUSE OF WAGYU!!!!

Yuck.

Kidding! Tee hee!

Our bill!

Yup! We availed of the Citibank promo for our dinner! It's sooooo "sulit" believe me!

=====================

Tee hee!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY 13th YUBHUBBERS!

I know I always joke around, or rant, but believe me that the Chinese Dimpol is the guy that's meant for me.
