YING YING TEA HOUSE

When we were planning our trip to Binondo Manila for the Chinese New Year 2015, I was talking on and on about going here and going there, while the Chinese Adonis was already quietly looking up restaurants for lunch. I know right? Usually it's me who's dreaming up the restaurants to eat and rest in after a long day (as the Chinese Adonis is always active) but this time, he was secretly looking up places to eat at what he feels is his own "Disneyland".

So when I asked where we'll be eating at Binondo, Manila, he instantly answered that we will be going to YING YING TEAHOUSE. Why? Because he said so. Usually I'm such a lovable wife (aka nagger) who would ask many questions on what, where, when, and why. But this time I was quiet. We WILL be in Binondo Manila, his favorite place besides Lucena, after all.

Yes. The Chinese Adonis loves his authentic Chinese food. I would NEVER dream of meddling in his own "turf".

ERICJAZ FOODIES and the little lords are in Chinatown for the Chinese New Year!

And there is only one restaurant for lunch time for us. And it is...

YING YING TEA HOUSE!

Like in LUCKY RAINBOW SEAFOOD RESTAURANT in Binondo, Manila, there was also a long line during the Chinese New Year!

YING YING restaurant hours!

We went  at the end of it and a few seconds later, people were waiting behind us as well!

Line at the entrance....

Line at the curb...

And US! Such a long way to go! We may choose to give up but it's very likely that other restaurants are sporting the same queue as well.

Hmmmm... I wonder what would the Chinese Adonis say if I suggested to have lunch at Mcdonald's instead? Tee Hee!

While standing in line I was entertained by the many sights around me.  It also gave me some tell tale signs that YING YING TEA HOUSE is not for the faint of heart" or stomach. He he he he!

Hello fish prisoners that will be gutted and cooked alive later!

Hello empty bamboo steam baskets waiting to be washed!

Hmmm... I wonder what's inside that white plastic pail and under the aluminum covers?

Hello there Hakaw (shrimp dumplings)! My favorite!

Servers (in red) would just get the dimsum from the big baskets here! Don't worry. They use plastic hand covers naman.

Not gloves.

They get a small plastic bag and use it as a make shift mittens. It's fine by me as long as they don't have direct contact with the food. He he he he!

While waiting, Mati saw that there was one chair available. He was torn between curing his stiff legs and taking care of his little brother that he sat down first and had Andrei sit on top of him.

Isn't he sweet?

Andrei passed the time by playing with this toy Chinese Dragon that we got for only P20.

Yey we're near the front!

When we finally got inside, YING YING TEA HOUSE was really jam packed with people but everything seemed to be so organized.

The wait staff, who were all wearing red, were going about like a well oiled robots and were very prompt with the service.

Tee Hee! I was wearing red that day. Good thing nobody thought I was a waiter!

Would you believe that YING YING TEA HOUSE have 3 floors and all were full? We were directed all the way at the top!

We were still made to wait a bit while they were cleaning our table.

Check out Andrei still playing with his Chinese Dragon.

FINALLY!!!!!!!

("Finally, Ariel happened to me. One wash clean sa labada for just 7.50. "
Augh I hate that jingle!")

Ordering!

There is actually more pages to the menu but since we're only there for dimsum and noodles, I only took pictures of those!

The Chinese Adonis and Mati!

If you noticed, Andrei and I are wearing red while these two were in green!

Probably because they're very green minded.

KIDDING!

Table condiments!

Andrei is in charge of making our dipping sauces.

Chinese hot tea!

TIME TO EAT!

Spare rib with tausi!

YING YING TEA HOUSE Pork Siomai!

Prices (and taste) may be similar to CAUSEWAY SEAFOOD RESTAURANT but the dimsum is bigger in size!

That made the Yubsker VERY happy!

Mati's YING YING hakaw from outside. (He he he!)

YING YING TEA HOUSE Fried Wantons!

Asado Siopao!

YING YING Seafood Chow Mein!

ERICJAZ FOODIES with the little lords at YING YING TEA HOUSE!

Gobble! Gobble!

That YING YING seafood noodles smelled so good!!!

It was also piping hot and saucy!!!

YUM!

Just the way I like it!

SLUUUURRRRP!

Andrei loved the noodles too!

I also had some of the YING YING TEA HOUSE hakaw on display out front. I dipped it in soy sauce loaded with chili!

I washed it all down with a tall mug of very cold Mango shake!

Hmmm... Somebody is thinking about something deep.

Doing a panoramic shot! He he he he he!

Done!

BURP! I only have one tummy to give to my country!

Top shot!

Our YING YING TEA HOUSE bill

We enjoyed our lunch at YING YING TEA HOUSE that even if we had to walk quite a bit from the jampacked streets of Ongpin, it was well worth it.

Just goes on to show, when it comes to Chinese food, NOBODY should interfere with the master that is the Chinese Adonis! He he he he!

Till next time YING YING TEA HOUSE and Binondo, Manila!
